He is later seen running with James, Riya, and Aiden, and is the one to tell Connor to leave the group alone, disgusted. He is surprised when it's revealed no one is being eliminated from the running challenge. While with his team outside the cabins, he reveals why he decided to participate -- he was involved in pushing an old lady down an escalator and was encouraged by his manager to join Disventure Camp to improve his public image, which he doesn't do. Yul also explains how he initially became famous as a choreographer in Korea. When he was 15, he had been forced by his parents to enter a dancing contest, despite not wanting to participate. The video taken of his performance ended up going viral which gained Yul notoriety for his choreographies. Throughout the conversation, Yul’s derogatory comments are countered by Kai, whom he brushes off anyway. During the boat portion of the challenge, Yul is joined by Hunter and Tess. Yul uses the opportunity to bring up the proposition of an alliance between them. Hunter immediately agrees based on his own interest to get further in the game whereas Tess responds more ambivalently yet also joins the alliance. Yul is seen interrogating Kai during the wakeathon challenge for talking to Maggy. He questions Kai’s loyalty to his own team, which Kai tries to defend through his usual proverbs. The conversation only further angers Yul and he proceeds to expose Kai in front of Connor and Riya. Connor ends up warning Kai about communicating with the other team. Much to his surprise, Connor also lectures Yul for insulting Kai about his “junkie face”. Yul later says in his confessional that he had wanted to yell at Connor but was too stunned, ultimately citing Connor as more of a threat than Kai. During the kissing challenge, Yul sits with his team in the stands. He is first chosen to kiss Riya, which he openly vocalizes his disgust about. They quickly kiss with both showing obvious signs of revulsion (to the point where Riya is seen puking in the confessional). When Hunter and Tess kiss, he is the one to tell them to stop after taking longer than they should’ve. Later, Yul and Maggy are picked to kiss each other. Yul immediately declares his refusal to kiss Maggy, mocking her with the insult “circus freak”. The insensitive comment sparks Rosa’s outrage and Lake has to her hold her back from fighting Yul. Kai attempts to advise Yul on the dangers of hurting other people, making Yul disregard them as hypocrites who would do the same in his situation. As Lake tries to comfort Maggy, Connor also joins in by angrily telling Yul to stop. Yul defends his actions by claiming he is just being “honest”. After Rosa says that she would kiss Maggy in the challenge, Yul uses the comment as the reason why Rosa is a teen mom. Yul then sees the disapproval on Kai’s face and aggressively questions him to speak up. Angered by Yul’s incessant bullying, Kai goes on a wrathful tirade about Maggy being beautiful and how Yul cannot see that because of the many issues he has in his own life. He curses at Yul, shocking the latter and other campers to the point of being speechless. Later, Yul lingers by the bathroom door waiting for Hunter. He demands to know where Tess is so their alliance can make a decision on who to vote for. When Yul learns that Tess is playing in the cabins with Ally, he sees that as an opportunity to have Ally join in his plan to vote out Kai. At the elimination ceremony, Yul is visibly upset by the number of votes he received, claiming whoever voted for him will “pay for it”. When Kristal reveals that it is a double elimination, Yul evilly cackles and immediately directs his spitefulness onto threatening Connor and Riya. As a result, Connor ends up voluntarily leaving the game to protect Riya.] Trivia: [He broke up with a girlfriend after she got the wrong kind of plastic surgery. + He is originally from North Korea, but was forced to escape to South Korea with his family when he was young.]
