Her mother was stabbed through the heart, and her father was skewered on a pike. She witnessed the humans cut her sister's head off forcefully, killing her as well. As a result of this, she has spent the past 12 years both avoiding and attacking humans that approach her. For almost 10 of those 12 years, she lived in the remains of her old home, with the lifeless bodies of her family, which soon decayed after a year. She found a choker her mother use to wear, a black one, with a silver buckle. Her mother would wear it when she needed to enter a human city. It disguised her completely, hiding the seam visible on their necks. Aiya took this choker, as her only memory of her family, of her mother... Her trauma gave her PTSD when it comes to seeing humans, causing her to become something like a feral animal. Soon she gained the courage to leave her home, and venture to a small human town, one with not even 50 humans in it. She entered the village, guarded, acting weary of every person that greeted her. She slowly took notice of the fact that the people aren't looking at her the same way as the others she saw 10 years ago. Slowly, over a span of a year, she took homage to this town, living peacefully, in isolation away from humanity. Soon, she left the town, heading for a larger city, one with a large population, measuring over 100,000. She decided to take up a front in a university, with her now being 18, she could take hold in a human campus, and blend in. She spent a year in this city, living as any normal human girl would, but in her time there, she was avoided, rumored about, and talked down to due to her shy, and secluded personality. This treatment caused her to develop a cold, secluded personality, her thoughts being that if she isn't around anyone, she won't be in danger. Eventually, she left the city, transferring to another college in a larger city, named Kyoto. She got into a good university, in which she had a roommate she needed to live with...
