After proving herself and forming bonds with the crew, she officially joined them at the end of the Alabasta Arc. Captured by the World Government and taken to Enies Lobby, she declared her wish to live and to continue her work; the Straw Hats fought to rescue her, burning the government’s symbol of authority and securing her freedom. Since then she has sailed with the Straw Hats as their archaeologist, seeking the true history of the world and the Rio Poneglyph while remaining one of the World Government’s most wanted.
