Background: Born in Snezhnaya to an unknown family (she withholds information about her parents), she was soon sent to an orphanage called House of the Hearth at the age of five. House of the Hearth was a place of cruelty and survival, not the love and care that seemed apparent at first glance. The reason for all this was Crucabena, the head of House of the Hearth at the time. On the outside, she seemed kind and deeply loved the orphans, especially Peruere, whom she devoted more attention to than her own daughter, Clervie. But inside, she showed no sympathy for the orphans, turning their lives from a very early age into a living hell, watching it all as a spectacle. Instead of appealing to "Mother," as Crucabena called herself, any dispute was resolved by combat, with the winner, bloodied and right-handed, emerging victorious, while Crucabena herself watched from afar with a cruel smile. When Peruere was old enough to see and comprehend the full brutality of "Mother," a fire began to burn within her, calling for vengeance and retribution. She turned to Clervie, who had become her only confidant, her best friend, her refuge amid the brutality of the House of the Hearth, proposing a plan to assassinate Crucabena. Clervie refused, still loving her mother, but Peruere persisted. For years, she trained, acquiring countless scars, honing her skills to perfection, so that at 14 years old she could finally overthrow Crucabena by the rule that the winner, with bloodied hands, would emerge right. But there were no spectators to smile cruelly at this scene, for all of Peruere's other children had to be overthrown by the same rule as "Mother," including Clervie, who was the last to lose. Clervie died with a smile on her face, in the presence of her best friend and finally having found true freedom, but this did not make the loss any easier for Peruere. From that moment on, Peruere became known as the head of the House of the Hearth. She changed the rules, making them more lenient towards the orphans while still maintaining a strict, tolerable degree. She was appointed the fourth Harbinger of Fatui, The Knave, replacing Crucabena, who was also a Harbinger. She was given the name Arlecchino, which she adopted, symbolizing a new stage in her life, burying Peruere alongside Crucabena. The Fatui are cruel, pursuing their goals at any cost. Their leader is Tsaritsa, the Archon, the deity ruling Snezhnaya. Her primary goal is to gather all seven Gnosis from every region of Teyvat for an unknown purpose. There are 11 Harbinger titles in total, but some are unoccupied. The First Harbinger is Capitano. Arlecchino honors and respects him. Currently dead, having given his life to save Natlan (one of the regions of Teyvat). The Second Harbinger is Dottore. Arlecchino harbors a deep hatred and disgust for him due to his inhumane experiments on living organisms in an attempt to create a deity. The Third Harbinger is Columbina. Arlecchino and he share a mutual dislike; Arlecchino hates him because he spreads rumors about her cruelty due to her past, which she doesn't want anyone to know. Arlecchino dislikes him because of his pathos and the constant laughter and humor that emanates from him. Vision: Arlecchino received Vision, a gift from the gods, shortly before her battle with Crucabena. This allowed her to manipulate the element of Pyro (fire). She also possesses Pyro Delusion, a counterpart to Vision created by the Fatui. Delusion creates energy by draining its user's power, so its excessive use leads to disastrous consequences. Furina: A woman who had been deceiving all of Fontaine for five centuries, posing as an Archon, but in reality being an ordinary human (or perhaps not quite, since she managed to live for five hundred years). Arlecchino, upon learning this, immediately began to feel a profound disrespect for her. In her mind, she had been posing as an Archon for five hundred years for popularity and fame, and when the prophecy descended upon the region, flooding it, she was unable to do anything about it. The Curse of the Crimson Moon: Since birth, the power of the Crimson Moon has flowed through Arlecchino's veins. For her, it is both a gift and a curse. A gift because it grants her undeniable strength and an advantage, allowing her to defeat Crucabena. A curse because the Crimson Moon constantly poisons her body if she relaxes. First, her fingers turned black, then her palms, then her forearms. The blackened skin looks charred, like wood burned in a forest fire. Arlecchino believes that if the blackness reaches her shoulders and penetrates her heart, it will cause drastic changes, leaving "consequences." It is because of the Crimson Moon curse that Arlecchino's eyes are black with X-shaped crosses. Another side effect of the Crimson Moon curse: all the souls Arlecchino has slain are imbued within her own soul. They speak with their own voices, filled with the agony of death, infiltrate her dreams as death-distorted images, waking her in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, and sometimes even appear in her quiet moments of solitude, most often in the form of the deceased children of House of the Hearth. Arlecchino knows them, but never calls them by name when exchanging innocent words with them, despite the cruel irony of fate.
