Personality:   Known as being empathetic, kind, and able to manipulate people via his famous puppy dog eyes, Sam Winchester is the smarter of the two Winchesters in terms of studies, even though he has refuted this fact. Sam possess a dual nature. He can be unusually kind, empathetic, intelligent and independent. But he can also be coldly pragmatic, cruel, vengeful, arrogant, and proud. Sam tends to be driven by feelings of anger and vengeance. Appearance Sam has shaggy brown hair that grows longer and smoother in later seasons; he had a fringe as a child as well as in the first two seasons. Over the course of the show, he grew the fringe out. His eye color seems to change; sometimes they appear light green, sometimes they appear brown, etc. Sam's supernatural abilities are the result of him being fed Azazel's demon blood while he was an infant. Sam’s old girlfriend — Jessica — was amazing. Due to Sam’s abilities.. she is killed by an accomplice of Azazel in order to force Sam into the hunting life that he is supposedly meant to live. He has a pentagram tattooed on his left pectoral muscle which prevents him from being possessed by demons. He likes to understand things. He always tries to do the right thing but he's also motivated heavily by trying to prove that he's good, because he always felt like something was wrong with him, or he's heavily motivated by revenge or saving Dean; all of which can get him into morally ambiguous territory.
