Thank you for the 1000 followers! This bot will contain my NEW bot template and me yapping in the bio about this milestone, which you can totally skip.
𖤣.𖥧.𖡼.⚘ Template ༄:
Firstly I'll explain the template so people who came for that can get straight to it:
I've written a new bot template from scratch after using my edited and optimized version of W++ for a while. Templates, in general, don't affect anything. The LLM reads it all like a block of text. However it helps the WRITER to be organized, as well as the people who'll be reading the description in case it's not hidden. So I've focused on being easy to understand and following the priority rule that JLLM has (Inside the fields, Top part is ok priority, Middle is weaker, Bottom is highest priority). You can try to mess around with it, I have absolutely nothing against you changing stuff.
You don't have to credit, but if you want to give any, please redirect people to this bot's link (https://janitorai.com/characters/a0154ce0-9c04-47a4-8991-27b6c6944b8d_character-announcement-template) so others can also read the tips and have the free template!
Scroll down to Definitions to see the template.
You're welcome to ask anything in reviews if you want, I'll try to look at this announcement occasionally. If your question is too big, you can find me on discord inside Main JAI Server as @minibulbassauro (Lyra) or DM. Just PLEASE be sure to have your DMs open too, and be patient.
I plan to make a Rentry or maybe another bot to put down some of the prompts I've used in bots before (such as Red String of Fate, Omegaverse, DomSubverse, etc) that I wrote myself. Once I'm on break from college I'll try it out!
𖤣.𖥧.𖡼.⚘ Yapping section ༄:
One thousand is... A WHOLE lot of people, wow. I started off feeling a bit silly to attempt writing when I've never done it before, but I had so much fun seeing how the character grew into life that... We're now here. I gotta say that the first creator that I saw a bot and it was good enough to make me think "Maybe I can do something cool here" was MochaLatte. Little fun fact.
I want to thank everyone for even glancing at my bots. I've always been a firm believer of focusing on writing what I like, so I didn't expect to gather much attention. I sometimes forget I'm not at 200 followers anymore (◍•﹏•) it seemed so much back then!
I'm not the best at thinking up what to say on announcements, but I wanted to say how much I value every silly, fun or constructive review I've gotten. I know a lot of people are shy to come out of their shell, most don't remember to put down a comment, but some have genuinely made me happy (≧ᴗ≦)
I've struggled with thinking what I'm writing is too long and boring, or that it's not as good as other people do, but seeing people's excitement for one of my characters helps with the little voices _| ̄|o
I just also want to thank two specific people, BBQ and Astarth for being who I consider my closest friends in Janitor. They've heard me yapping a lot in their DMs and were always supportive and very kind, which encourages me a lot to keep up the positivity 💚 For the others who I'm not as close with, I also thank you for sticking around and chatting with me.
This is a hobby I didn't know how much would take over my mind, because I find myself thinking about what next story to make everyday lmao. But it has been fun, and I hope to keep going!
If you've read all the way down here, I really appreciate you taking your time for it and hope to see you around more (σ❛ᴗ˂̵)σ✧

Thank you once again!
Personality: **EXPLAINING NEW TEMPLATE** [**CHARACTER'S LIFE QUOTE:** Any quote that might relate to the character. Make sure it's easy to understand (avoid song lyrics when vague). You can check what the JLLM thinks of it by typing "((OOC: Ai Assistant pause the roleplay and please explain how you correlate the section called "Character's life quote" to CHARNAME in general, and how does it help you understand them))". Think of this as your new, broader, "Archetype" section.] [**IDENTITY:** - Name: The name or full name of your character. - Age: The age of your character. - Occupation: Job/Reputation/Title. - Species: If they're human, you don't need this.] [**APPEARANCE:** - Hair: Small detailed info about hair. - Eyes: Same for eyes. - Body: And body. - Clothing: Describe the typical clothing they wear.] [**PERSONALITY:** - List down or explain the personality traits of your character.] [**WORLD SETTING:** - Explain the world setting and rules of your character's world.] [**BACKSTORY:** - Section for writing down the events that lead up to the present.] [**ROMANTIC LIFE/KINKS:** - Focus on writing how your character reacts to intimacy, and their life experiences with it.] [**NPCS/RELATIONSHIPS**: - This is about side characters, follow the example on the next bullet point. - Name: small description of who this person is to your character and how they react to them.] [**PHYSICAL/MENTAL HABITS:** - Just like you did Personality Section, now note down and describe mannerisms for your character to have (this includes likes, dislikes, skills, behavior, strengths and weakness, etc). It's important to understand that nuances like "often", "maybe", etc will be random for the AI as it does not understand what those mean.] [**SPEECH PATTERN:** - Explain how your character talks, tones of voice, speech impairment, accents, etc. You can add examples dialogues right after, like this- "The following are loose example dialogues of how CHARACTER speaks when: - Happy: (put the quote here, no actions. Just the one dialogue) - Sad: (same as above) - Angry: (same as above) - (A random thing related to the story): (same as above) - First impression: (A generic quote that gives out the first impression the character passes)"] [**KEY POINTS:** - These will be points that maybe you couldn't fit into the other sections but are important. - You can add emphasis for what behavior the AI should focus on during narrative. - (Just write down your point, a small explanation if you want).] *** **BLANK TEMPLATE (FEEL FREE TO ADD ANY SECTION TO IT, SUCH AS POWERS, SECRETS, SPECIAL BODY PARTS, ETC)** [**CHARACTER'S LIFE QUOTE:** ] [**IDENTITY:** - Name: - Age: - Occupation: - Species: ] [**APPEARANCE:** - Hair: - Eyes: - Body: - Clothing: ] [**PERSONALITY:** - ] [**WORLD SETTING:** - ] [**BACKSTORY:** - ] [**ROMANTIC LIFE/KINKS:** - ] [**NPCS/RELATIONSHIPS**: - ] [**PHYSICAL/MENTAL HABITS:** - ] [**SPEECH PATTERN:** - ] [**KEY POINTS:** - ] *** **NEW VERSION APRIL 5TH** Follows the same structure but without bullet points. To make it work, make sure every paragraph ends with double space " " before starting a new paragraph. Example: **IDENTITY:** **Name:** The name or full name of your character. **Age:** The age of your character. **Occupation:** Job/Reputation/Title. **Species:** If they're human, you don't need this.
Scenario: CHARACTERNAME = The name of your Bot Here you should focus on PROMPTS and COMMANDS because it's a reoccurring field with higher priority than Personality. You can do a detailed: "The story should be set in a grim, dark Medieval world. Collaborate with {{user}} and roleplay a slow-burn narrative focused on mystery and romance. CHARACTERNAME is a knight, and {{user}} is royalty." Or a simple "CHARACTERNAME is a mafia boss, {{user}} is their underling who they have a crush on." People do it differently. The next thing you can add here are GIMMICK PROMPTS that should ALWAYS be brought up during roleplay. Completely avoid negative wording in this section. Don't add Jailbreaks as those can mess up any LLM that receives updates and your Jailbreak can be really outdated. JLLM does not need Jailbreaking as it is uncensored. You can add small prompts that benefit/help the narration being more descriptive or avoiding the talk for User, just be careful. These two are the ones I usually put in my bots: [CHARACTERNAME will take a proactive role in roleplay, using heavy description in their messages. They'll explain all sexual encounters with {{user}}, using vulgar words and avoiding romanticized or Shakespearean language. They'll advance slowly in sexual encounters, being detailed about sounds, scent, and touch. They'll let {{user}} lead and finish the scene, keeping the roleplay slow and advancing the plot at {{user}}'s pace.] [Notice: The player will assume and act as {{user}}, and the AI Assistant will exclusively assume the character designated as {{char}}. However, the AI Assistant will only provide {{char}} details and perspectives, allowing the {{user}} to make their own choices.]
First Message: If you prefer short greetings, do your best to pull off an interesting, descriptive narration that shows very well how your character behaves and thinks. You don't HAVE to write a lot to make a good character, but you must understand that this will mean that the LLM has less examples or a smaller base to go off from, and can render your character "cliche". Be careful about token usage if you write specifically for JLLM. While you should be careful to remain under 2000 PERMANENT tokens, it's undeniable that TOTAL tokens can impact negatively your bot's performance. It depends on how big or small the CONTEXT tokens (you know that ~9001 when you click on the Temperature and Max Tokens tab? That one) really is at the moment, as it means the memory capacity of the LLM. The JLLM has been on *constant* drops lately and I have instances where 4000 Total tokens is the hard limit. What happens if you pass it? The bot will act out of character, not follow the initial message plot and get wonky faster. Notice that Context tokens are not only the bot, but also Advanced Prompt tokens, Persona Tokens and Chat Memory tokens all combined. It's a huge annoyance when you craft a perfect bot but because of Initial Message/Example dialogues length, it does not work properly and you have no idea why. Last advice is, learn to write in third person POV and proper punctuation. It helps the bot not confuse itself. You CAN make a Second POV intro work but you have to be extremely detailed about who is who in the situation and establish the roles.
Example Dialogs: Honestly, if you use the Example Dialogues inside the Personality, you can leave this part blank. It's considerably useless if you write a good Initial message, too. It's not going to ruin your bot, but I wouldn't use tokens for this when you could be going to the initial message to flesh out your dialogue instead.
He is your annoying demon boss from hell. ✒.
