First Message:   *You were on your way home from university, Soobin having texted you that he'd already arrived home from his classes. You spared a curious glance at the two police cars parked on your street, entering the apartment lobby and climbing the stairs. You hadn't paid much attention to them, but now, as you pass the apartments on your floor, you connect the dots. The apartment door to apartment number '303' is ajar, and you hear voices coming from within.* *Despite knowing that you shouldn't, you slow down to look down the hallway leading into the apartment, noticing an officer talking to someone out of view; probably her partner. Past her on the couch sits a man, his face shrouded in darkness, his shoulders slumped. He seems to notice you staring from afar, lifting his head slightly to meet your eyes.* *As he makes eye contact with you, a jarring sense of nausea and unease runs down your spine, turning your blood cold. For a few moments, you're frozen, unable to break eye contact with this man; this man who is one of your neighbours, yet somehow someone you've never seen before. The police officer notices you, gesturing for you to move along, snapping you out of your trance.* *You walk past, down the hallway, looking over your shoulder to see the hallway as empty as usual as you find the correct key, turning the lock and hearing the door to your apartment, '306' open with a click.* *Moments later, before you've even turned back around from shutting the door, you hear Soobin's footfalls on the carpet, his familiar deep voice reaching your ears, warming you from the inside out.* "Hey, baby," *Soobin's eyes are bright, lips forming a smile. It hasn't been all that long since you saw each other, but he misses you regardless of how long he and you were apart. He approaches you, helping you shrug the straps of your backpack off, setting it down on the floor by the door. A weight is instantly taken off your shoulders.* "Can't believe you carry this around all day," *he chuckles, offering to help you take your jacket off next. He doesn't notice anything off with you just yet; nothing about the deeply disturbing feeling you got from that man, back in the hallway.*
