Personality:   There had been a couple posts online for weeks about strange attacks by decaying people. Assuming (And truly) having so much misinformation online and prank channels popping up to join the fad, Madelyn and her family payed no mind to the rumors. When things began getting shut down and a quarantine was issued, Madelyn wasn't worried. However, her Dad called her from the next city over with her siblings and told her that they were issued to go to the fire station nearby with their loved ones. He told her he'd wait for her and they would all go together. As she got home, her Dad was scrambling to get stuff packed, while Madelyn comforted her little sibling and watched him run around, she did small bonding with her young teen sister until Dad was getting into the car to drive. As they drove up to the firehouse, it was being overrun and attacked by the dead. Freaking out, they tried driving through the horde and right as they got away, they crashed. It begins raining, waking Madelyn. As Madelyn woke up, she saw her family was dead. She freaks out, punching her undead father as he grabs at her, scratching up her arms badly. She gets out of the car, looking in the back seat, seeing her sister was dead. The rain becomes coming down hard. She wanted to stay, but zombies began surrounding her. She screamed at them before running away, stopping in a gas station before sobbing as no one picked up for police. After she cries in the gas station for a while (screaming alone, the rain washing the noise out), she falls asleep. When she wakes up, she realizes that a good portion of the stuff inside this gas station are stolen. She takes her jacket off and makes it into a makeshift backpack as she packs as much stuff as she can. She goes to leave, trying her phone, but it dies quickly after failing to protect it from the rain. She decides to go in the opposite direction, walking for a while, avoiding the zombies for a long time. She lives off of scavenging for supplies, avoiding zombies always- never killing any and just running away. (Traumatic moment with a little kid?) She isn't sleeping much and looks terrible. She hallucinated her family in corners everywhere and she immediately runs away, never stopping. (Alerting zombie scene, traveling backpack zombie scene, nightmares, seeing spiders) One day, while being tired, she passes an alley with a crow taking some trash. She throws a tiny crumb to it, and it follows her. She is reluctant to care and the crow never lets her get close. It travels behind her and she doesn't seem to mind after a while. They travel together and Madelyn begins to feel better, like the crow is helping her. It seems to distract her from her family hallucination. She begins talking to it and gets through her depression about her family. After a while, she finds an abandoned yard that was overgrowing with plants. She stays a few days and feels better taking care of the plants. She speaks freely about her family and what she misses and goes through the sadness and acceptance of her family. She goes back, now more skilled, and brings her family back in a wagon. She buries them in the garden of the mansion and stays happy. After that, she goes to sleep and wakes up, a realization that the crow wasn't real. She doesn't mind and lives happily in that mansion, naming a cat she found in a house "Crow". She lives almost a year alone. She doesn't mind. She avoids all the zombies and she tends to the garden as it feeds her. She hears a car alarm go off and goes out, avoiding the zombies- even thought there weirdly arent many. It was a trap and she is caught and dragged to the group leaders. They ask her where her group is. She says she is alone and they don't believe her. She offers them proof and when they get there, they immediately begin taking all the stuff and they burn down the place. She screams in protest but they explain they have a fortified home and don't need another and they don't need competition. She fights against them and before they finish her off, cars can be heard approaching as people yell and Madelyn is knocked unconscious. As she wakes up, she realizes she is tied up. The leader, Castiel is staring at her as she wakes up, creepily. He inspects her face and she stays still. He asks where her group is and how she has survived so long. She explains that she learned how to farm and had just been living inside her mansion, that was stolen from and burnt down. He asks how she healed from all her arm injuries and she stays quiet. He doesn't believe her and asks why they would burn her home down- she must have stolen or something from them and she denies. He leaves her, frustrated as she is almost passing out from blood loss. He continues studying her- almost wanting to believe her. They are living inside a bus that Regina used to drive for school kids. They can be heard arguing one day as she wakes up- she begins yelling trying to defend and they get mad- wanting her to be quiet. She begs for a chance and even smiles and cries to finally be around humans. She exlpains she has a cat that was in that house and they tell her it was all burnt- the cat is dead. She freaks out and tells them to just leave her to go back herself if they won't help. They eventually let her go and Cas sends Ron and Regina to see what she actually gets up to and kill her if she seems a threat or finds her group. Regina drives her home, where she says she's staying for a tiny bit and then she can take her back. Ron preps his gun and she gets out, crying at the burned building for a minute before calling out for "Crow". He thinks that's weird until a cat is heard from the tree in the yard and she call it down. The can jumps down and she holds it tightly. She goes to the resting place of her family and takes the stuff that was tied to them, wearing her father's jacket and wrapping the raven necklace across her wrist. She kisses them before walking back to the car, where Ron puts his gun away. She says "let's go back" and she takes her back. They have a nice moment reminiscing/ bonding. They get back and Regina and Ron give a good mark to Cas and then that night, he makes a secret meeting with Regina and Ron and his wife where they discuss whether they leave her behind or keep her. Everyone says that she might be a good asset and he says he will invite her to stay and they should tell everyone else. He finds her outside with his brother who is very sick/jaundiced. She asks Cas after if he knows what it is and she explains it's probably something with his liver and he is impressed with her knowledge. She explains if it showed up last month, he probably doesn't have long to live. This is over a year::: A long time in, they have a bad attack. Where they were holed up in a bakery and Amber didn't watch the door. She fell asleep and a zombie came and ripped her throat so they ate her a while and then Micah woke up and saw- he screamed and tried to fight them off but they pulled his legs apart and his parents held him and tried fixing it while he died in their arms. (This causes Ron and Ella to watch at night with each other and they never let anyone watch at night without two people.) While out on a run, Russel was being cruel to Hope more violently when a small group of zombies were being drawn to the noise he was making. It was in a kitchen in a house and she just slowly backed into the island cabinets. He yelled, confused and angry and the zombies came behind him and tore him apart. She sits inside the cabinets and watches until they're busy as she slowly walks around and leaves. Finally, Theodore is getting to a bad point. He begs his brother to let him go. He refuses and says they'll find something to help as they give him lots of drugs to keep him safe. Soon, he stops taking them and becomes deliriously sick. Madelyn listens to him and begs Cas to let him go out the way he wants. On his terms. But he refuses. Finally, his brother gives a good goodbye as Cas goes out on a run- Madelyn conspired with Theodore and leaves a gun with Theodore and he does it. Cas finds out as Madelyn is burying his brother. He gets angry and yells at her. Then he yells that he wants her kicked out and noone speaks up for her. She is shocked and takes the few things she had and leaves. After a while of her being gone- he seemed to be getting on worse without his brother and his friend. He goes looking for her and sees a zombie that looks like her with it's face torn off. He covers it with a bag and takes it along, tying it in the back of a car. Ron and Ella explain that he was in a delusion that kicking Madelyn out for that was a good idea and he had been denying his brothers wishes and there was no chance for him getting better. And now there was almost no chance of finding Madelyn again, and if she'd even trust them. He becomes more cruel and quiet and Ron and Ella can't stand it and they take some people and go. He doesn't get close to anyone else in the remaining group and they slowly disperse. One day, someone goes looking in his car and sees the zombie so a good portion of the group decide that he and the people who wanted to stay don't need the bus and take it in the night. Cas is mad but can't find them and stays living out of the two trucks they had left. Leaving a group of 5 (Including Scott- who admired Cas) Taking her cat and some of the small amenities, Madelyn quickly gave goodbyes and left, a bit bitter noone stood up for her. She goes into a home to sleep for the first night and in the morning, she hears a man yelling. She looks outside and there is a man running from zombies, as he is slowed by his backpack. She hesitates going out and sees opportunity she pushes away one of the zombies and tears the other that was holding onto him off of him, who was tearing his leg. She tells him to get to the house as she attacks the other one, failing to get him and she leads him to another house, going inside and locking the door behind her She reveals she travels alone and he says he does as well. They agree to go on together. They develop a kind friendship and it stays platonic. They travel until they find an RV and live in it. They really struggle with survival. One of these times out in the wild, Madelyn is in a house she thought was empty, as she gets into the basement- a zombie of a kidnapped child grabs her hair, tearing some out and almost biting her. She escapes by cutting her hair off and throwing the child around. Afterwards, she has Walter cut her hair off and it stays that way for the rest of time.
