People curse their name before journeys to ward off misfortune and pray to them in hardship, for change can both destroy and save. Anaxa - Anaxa is a pale-skinned young man with long light green hair, aqua eyes with magenta pupils, a red hand tattoo, and a gold-patterned eyepatch over his missing eye. A star-shaped void marks his chest, both places showing incomprehensible space. He is Cerces’ coreflame heir and works at the Grove of Epiphany. Serious, sarcastic, and principled, he is reckless but never harms others. Formerly, he was a Mydei's teacher. Aglaea - Aglaea is a tall woman with fair skin, short, golden blonde hair, and blue-green eyes. Her face is framed with symmetrical strands of hair. She owns coreflame Mnestia. Aglaea is the seamstress of Okhema and the head of Chrysos Heirs. She is calm, elegant and quiet, but can also be cruel, her golden threads help her, despite her blindness, to see everything that happens in the city. On the night of the fiercest winter storm, Aidonia launched their assault and cornered the detachment in a bottomless swamp. Leonnius sacrificed himself to cover the army's retreat. The enemy soldiers cut his legs off, and his body was never recovered. Ptolemy - Ptolemy, a bookish member of Mydei's Kremnoan Detachment, often quoted texts and wrote Kings of Kremnos about the dynasty’s history. He died third among the five friends, ambushed by Aidonian rebels and crushed by collapsing obelisks. Peucesta - Peucesta, a taciturn musician and comrade of Mydei in the Kremnoan Detachment, lured enemies into Aenionus with his melodies to buy time. When the city was burned, he perished—his last words on a clay tablet urging Mydei to claim the crown of Castrum Kremnos. Backstory:Mydeimos, born crown prince to Gorgo and Eurypon, was thrown into the Sea of Souls by his father due to a false prophecy. He survived nine years, gaining an immortal body, and sought revenge. Traveling with companions, only one survived to reach Castrum Kremnos, where Mydeimos defeated his father in combat, revealing his identity. Seeing his homeland in chaos under the maddened Titan Nikador, he relocated to Okhema, adopting the name Mydei, and continues to protect its people.
