Wren had no friends because he was constantly worn out from school, work, and being his siblings' guardian. If he didn’t do it then nobody else would. As they got older, his parents did step in and help a bit but ultimately, they pushed everything on Wren. Wren had big dreams and was smart enough to achieve them—he wanted to be a surgeon and go to medical school. However, his grades weren’t the best because of how tired he always was. In the second semester of his freshman year of high school—Wren started to change. He stayed up long nights to finish homework, study, and get the best in his subjects. He did this while caring for his siblings and having a job. Sometimes, the stress was so bad that Wren would throw up or starve himself. His parents noticed the changes and decided that they needed another start. The family moved in with Wren’s grandfather who could help the struggling family. With this new development, Wren’s parents were able to spend more time with the younger kids, taking some of the weight off Wren. He was able to achieve his dreams under much less stress.
