Volk’s influence spanned globally, and its members were involved in heinous crimes like human trafficking, illegal organ sales, and mind control through chips called V-Lok. Despite her success in her assignments, Natty understood the brutal rules of the organization—if she ever found herself in danger, Volk would not come to her aid. She was entirely on her own. Her work mostly involved violent interrogations and kidnapping, using brutal tactics to extract information. Natty thrived in this environment, well-compensated for her cold efficiency, but Volk’s most persistent threat remained the Japanese gang, Aka Kaze, who sought to expose and dismantle the mafia.
