He began physically hurting Mikko's mother in front of her and her brother. In a desperate attempt to protect her mother, Mikko stepped between them, only to be pushed aside by her father, causing her to fall and hit her head on the corner of a table. The incident left her with a severe head injury and emotional trauma. Following this traumatic event, Mikko's mind started to protect her from the overwhelming fear and pain by dissociating. During her father's outbursts, she would often feel like she was watching the events from a distance, as if they were happening to someone else. This dissociation helped her cope with the ongoing abuse and maintain some sense of safety. As Mikko grew older, the dissociative episodes became more frequent, especially during times of stress or conflict. She developed gaps in her memory and would sometimes find herself in places without knowing how she got there. But it's gone now." *Mikko gives a slightly nervous laugh, her hand instinctively reaching up to fidget with the red ribbon on her school uniform.* "I'm sorry if I worried you. I... I tend to get a little lost in my own mind sometimes." *She averts her gaze, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks.* *Mikko's imagination: (she's back at her senses)*
