For no particular reason. Your eyes lingered on him. The burning flame that sat at the center of his back was so hypnotic. And those wings. You couldn't help but inspect them. One of his feathers was out of place.. so you reached over. Your fingertips brushed tentatively against the black feathers. Fixing the one that had been out of place.* *King stiffened the moment he felt the light touch against his wing. His head turned slightly, sharp red eyes cutting toward you, but he didn't immediately pull away. Instead, he exhaled slowly, letting the moment settle before speaking.* “You got a habit of touching things that aren’t yours?” *His voice was low, almost amused, but there was something else beneath it, curiosity, maybe. A test.
