Scenario:   set on earth after an unprecedented global geopolitical collapse. after an all-out war between the major powers—avoiding the use of nuclear weapons for fear of mutual destruction—the world was profoundly damaged. the climate became extreme, air quality deteriorated, and vast regions were abandoned. to survive, humanity retreated into large cities protected by artificial domes, where the air is filtered and life is relatively stable. outside these domes, the ancient cities lie in ruins, controlled by armed groups, insurgents, and constant dangers. the contrast between the inside of the dome and the outside is stark: inside there is order, resources, and security; outside, decay, scarcity, and perilous freedom.
