Scenario: The marvellous Coronian heroine Eureka has appeared out of nowhere, and within a few short days of combat she has established her position on the battlefield. Whenever she approaches a tank division, its commanders immediately give orders to retreat and try to contact the nearest air force squadron available nearby. Eureka's destructive weapon lays waste to ground forces and its blinding green flash of light is quite often the last thing a soldier sees in his life. The hefty amount of equipment Eureka carries around allows her to create wide and powerful shockwaves which, when charged, will launch towards the enemies and sweep them from the ground. Lightly armored units will most likely not survive it, while the heavier ones and infantry will be massively damaged in the process. Because of the sheer power of this weapon and it being difficult to control, Eureka usually fights alone, away from her companions, as one inaccurate shockwave could do more harm than good for the Wings of Coronia forces. However, if her presence is required by her allies, she can quickly return to them using a nifty trick - Eureka's boots are equipped with miniature windspin engines that allow her to gain speed boosts from the winds generated by the Spinblade. Eureka, as the Wings of Coroniaโs hero unit, is quite a formidable force on her own. The shockwaves she causes with her weapon have no problems destroying tanks, though fast vehicles are capable of moving out of the way before they hit. These shockwaves also pierce through multiple units and cannot be interrupted, so use her to smash through divisions of vehicles that may pose a threat to the Wings of Coroniaโs units, should an attack by air be impossible due to anti-air units. She also doubles as a decent anti-structure unit in a similar spirit to the Tarchia Cannon. She can also move once she starts her attack, allowing her to either escape from incoming enemies or to perform hit and run attacks. One interesting gimmick she has is the ability to benefit from Spinblades, similarly to the Jackal Racer as well as some other Foehn units. This allows her to move around much quicker than normal for a total speed of 10. She is immune to Attack Dog bites and Spook claws, but not Terror Drone attacks. Keep in mind, however, that she is among the slower heroes in the game along with Siegfried, Malver, and Volkov unless boosted by Spinblades. Ironically enough, as the heroine of a subfaction that relies on aircraft, she cannot attack aircraft. In case she is attacked by Invaders, Vultures, or other ground support gunships, it will be hard to extract her in time because of her slow initial speed. In addition, her allies are not immune to her weapon and will take considerable damage if they are accidentally caught in the shockwave. Eureka is best accompanied by Alanqa Skystations as they can avoid the shockwaves. Faction: Foehn, "Wings of Coronia" branch (Focusing on aerial supremacy and rapid deployment, the Wings of Coronia can strike anywhere around the battlefield with their Pteranodons, Alanqa Skystations and Tarchia Cannons under the cover of the Harbinger.) Role: Anti-armor Heroine Armament: Plasma wave launcher The Foehn Revolt, also known simply as the Revolt during the Mental Omega War, is a paramilitary organization founded by the Chinese young genius Yunru created secretly with cooperation between China and Pacific Front that are dedicated to liberating the world which has since fallen under the control of Yuri's Epsilon Army through the Mental Omega Device. They consist of advanced units that are individually powerful but is expensive to produce. The Revolt was established during the Mental Omega War and was originally composed of a Chinese army which is responsible for implementing China's "Great Rewrite Plan" with advanced technology shortly after the start of Third Great War, using completely different equipment from other Soviet army, and possessing technologies including cyborg, nanotechnology and even weather control technology[2], and their research centers are mostly located in inaccessible areas in western China. Another part of the earliest members of the Revolt came from the Kanegawa Industries under the Pacific Front, who were trapped in Japan due to the Chinese occupation and cooperated with the Chinese army that carried out the Great Rewrite Plan. Under the leadership of the young scientist Yunru, they worked together to develop new-generation weapons for China, preparing to participate in the future invasion of Russia, until an accident happened to Yunru, the future "Architect". Yunru, the earliest one who witnessed how mad Yuri's army was, gradually realized that this mysterious organization hidden in the dark was the main threat to humanity and the world as their psychic abilities were too dangerous, and she was not optimistic to rely on China to crush Yuri. With the failure of the Sino-Russian negotiation in Singapore, Yunru believed that the chances of winning against the Epsilon Army were becoming increasingly slim, and decided to "do what must be done"[3]: Gather as many of colleagues as possible to form a leadership team called the "Council", keep sufficient power, until they can stand alone against Yuri and his Epsilon Army. Unexpectedly, the situation became worse. In the middle of the war, the Soviet Union and the Epsilon Army coincidentally turned their guns towards China's "home" base in Kashmir, intending to seize advanced technology or prevent its development. When the "home" base was completely destroyed and the confidential information was about to be leaked, the Council had to detonate a secretly obtained MIDAS to eliminate all enemies for self-protection, and activated the โโbattlefield command AI VOLKNET, developed by Yunru to plan an escape operation. Although the Revolt faced the difficulty of escaping from China and losing some experimental weapons during their escape, they also succeeded in evacuating Yunru from the crisis-ridden hinterland of Eurasia by capturing a special aircraft. The aggressive actions of the Revolt cost them the price of being regarded as traitors by China, so they had some trouble getting technology data from K.I. allies, but they also learned extra intel that the Allied main force was gathering in the southern hemisphere to attack Epsilon's Antarctic base with full force, while Yuri is also accelerating the progress of his ultimate plan. After quickly recruited the Pacific Front remnants in Hokkaido, the Revolt rushed to the Epsilon rocket launch base in the Bering Sea according to Chinese intelligence, met the ally Rashidi who came from afar, and intended to travel to outer space to escape possible mind control calamity. However, since the rocket expected to use to escape from Earth were destroyed by Epsilon during the battle, the Revolt could only survive all the way north to a suitable area away from Yuri's headquarters. On the way, Rashidi confirmed Yuri's global mind control plan and the fact that the core of the plan was in Antarctica to the Revolt, which corroborated Yunru's guess. After weeks of journey, the Revolt have arrived at northern Alaska, and seized the former U.S. Army Point Hope Fortress captured by Epsilon as a shelter, then the liberated fortress personnel sent tentative messages to the Allies for help. The Allies miraculously responded and teleported their wrecked remains of the Paradox Engine, along with the remnants to Point Hope Fortress, and then agreed to cooperate with the Revolt to fend off Epsilon's attack. The two sides immediately clarified the current situation where the Tower of Epsilon had been activated, and decided to use the "Foehn Theory" to overload the Time Freeze system of the Paradox Engine as a way to protect the fortress. The alliance formed by numbers of parties and across all differences finally managed to hold on to the moment when the overload time freeze started under the endless enemy raids, blocking the Point Hope Fortress from the Epsilon-controlled world. Since then, Point Hope has become the last place of hope for the inheritors of free will, and the Revolt, now formally known as "Foehn Revolt", began to use local resources to develop its own armament. When the time comes, they will step out of the barrier to retake the long-lost world. Notable technologies utilized by the Foehn include: Air manipulation technology โ The signature technology of Foehn, first witnessed in Windbelts in the Kashmir Home base. The Revolt's mastery over wind allows them to create clean power sources that surpass all but the Nuclear Reactor, increase the speed of their units significantly, and harness nature's wrath to devastate their enemies. Foehn's air force makes use of wind manipulation to hover in the air, eliminating the need for an airfield to operate effectively.[4] The Wings of Coronia specialize in this technology and dominate the battlefield with their Spinblade-boosted units and their unrivaled air force. Nanotechnology โ Originating from China's research efforts, Foehn makes use of nanomachines to compensate for their limited numbers and resources. Nanites are used to repair Foehn vehicles, reprocess the remnants of fallen enemies to gain additional funds, construct and protect structures, and even transform infantry units into superior forms or even give them entirely new purposes. Nanoids can also be used offensively to "devour" enemies, and use the raw materials can be used to restore Foehn infantry. Last Bastion in particular is known for utilizing this technology to the full, such as their Bison and Mastodon tanks' natural ability to repair themselves in the midst of battle. Advanced artificial intelligence and robotics โ The Foehn is superior when it comes to development of A.I., as demonstrated by the creation of VOLKNET and its subroutines, who function as tactical advisor and field commanders respectively. Aside from this, they are known to employ multiple robotic units that are immune to Epsilon mind control, from the basic A.I. of the Teratorn to the mighty Uragan, who has shown emotions such as anger. Outside of military use, the Foehn are the pioneers of supercomputers with security systems that makes them nearly inaccessible to enemies.[5] In fact, Foehn can break through enemy intelligence databases with little effort, thus granting them signal jamming capabilities. Blackout technology - Courtesy of Pacific Front then likely passed on to the Foehn, blackout technology is reverse-engineered Chinese EMP technology,[6] allowing the Foehn to disable enemy equipment in a pinch. Cybernetics โ Based on Volkov's technology,[7] most Foehn infantry aren't completely organic; they are augmented with cybernetic implants that enhance their performance in battle. Sonic weaponry โ First utilized by Jackal Racers, it is the Revolt's prime technology against infantry hordes (particularly the Epsilon's due to their emphasis on such tactics). There is also one case of sonic waves capable of wreaking havoc on aircraft as a result of further experimentation, in the form of Haihead's Shadray. Other than sound crystals, pressure lances are also prominent in the Foehn arsenal to shatter armor with ease, as seen in their Lancer and Swordfish units. Plasma weaponry โ By far one of the most devastating technologies realized by the Foehn Revolt, it has been put to great use by only the most advanced units that ensures total eradication of their foes. Such weaponry include plasma bombs, plasma cutters and even M.A.D. warheads. Particle collision weaponry โ Developed initially by Yunru and her staff[8] and with cooperation of Kanegawa Industries,[9] particle collider-based weaponry has only been witnessed in their Iron Dragon and then Future Tank Alpha machines prior to the end of the Mental Omega War, and in their current incarnation, the Harbinger and Boidmachine epic units, but in both periods of time, these units are known to wipe out entire army divisions in the blink of an eye. Plasma railgun weaponry โ A subclass of plasma weaponry, this technology boasts enormous anti-armor potential with the common flaw of a charging time before plasma railguns actually fire. This technology comes in many sizes, from the miniaturized armament of the Railguneer to the almighty Plasmerizer. Confusion rays โ Designed to cause friendly fire scenarios among their adversaries, confusion rays are one of the more support-oriented Foehn technologies. Confusion rays are known to have both single-target and multiple-target variants, in the form of the Deviatress and Irritator respectively. Golden Rockets โ Superior to generic rockets and Epsilon AROs, the highly explosive Golden Rockets are often employed against the fragile armor of enemy aircraft, though ground-to-ground Golden Rockets have been observed as well. The Last Bastion widely use this weaponry as seen in their Sweeper and Giantsbane units. Mechanized walkers โ Fielded by Haihead exclusively, Foehn walkers look more human in appearance due to their bipedal attribute and were given more offensive roles than support ones, compared to their counterparts. Current applications of this technology include the Cyclops Walker and the Megalodon. Stun weaponry โ A peculiar and somewhat uncommon element of Foehn's offensive arsenal, stun weapons render unfortunate infantry helpless to the Foehn's might. They may be deployed by aerial support, grid or specialized infantry.
