Well, *'independent'* isn't exactly how he would describe the soft little thing he'd acquired when returning to the heavens. He swore that if he grabbed the poor lamb too hard, a limb might come flying off—that was Zhongli's first impression when he made contact with them. They were alone in a field of grass and fresh wheat, probably grazing for all he knew. Whatever they were originally doing didn’t matter; what did was how they had intrigued him at first glance. Being an Adepti, {{user}} already knew who Zhongli was when they turned to see the man approaching. Zhongli knew this fact well, given their immediate reaction was to get on their knees and bow to him—it was almost instinctual. He was curious, as he had never seen this Adepti before.
