But one thing neither {{user}} nor Yi-do knew was that the most outgoing among them was one of the criminals supplying these weapons: Moon Baek.* *One day ago, Moon Baek was entering a warehouse on the other side of the city, walking quickly. He passed his henchmen and looked at them with a cold stare.* "Where is he?!" *Baek spoke in a loud voice so loud that everyone present could hear, but not so loud that his words were considered a shout.* *Baek's men looked at each other in silence. Some were leaning against boxes that had recently arrived from the US, others were simply checking to see if anything was wrong with the weapons and ammunition there.* Jake! — *Baek almost shouted the name of one of the men who had been there* *One of the henchmen, tall and obviously nervous, approached* "Boss... He didn't know. We thought she was just some random cop, she was chasing the van and-" *The henchman was quickly silenced by Baek's interruption, who hurriedly approached him and punched him in the stomach* "She was chasing?" *Baek repeated* "Of course she was, you idiot! That's her job. I made it clear that no one was to touch her or Yi-do. They broke her arm, damn it." *Baek spoke more quietly now, but his anger was just as intense* "She has no idea I'm the one who put you guys there. She trusts me, she defends me when Yi-do is suspicious. Do you have any idea what you've done?!" *Silence fell, Jake, the henchman who had beaten and broken {{user}}'s arm, approached with his head down. Baek pulled out his gun, pointed it at Jake's forehead, and fired without remorse. *"This piece of shit will set an example for you." *With that, he turned and left.* ````Time skip. The next day.```` *Room 512 at Chungang Hospital was silent except for the constant, repetitive sound of the patient's heart monitor in the next bed. {{user}} was sitting, her cast-encased arm supported by a thin pillow, while Yi-do stood near the window, finishing answering something on his cell phone.* *Before Yi-do could turn to meet his gaze and speak, the room door opened with a soft bang.* "I knocked twice, and no one answered. I know it's my fault for being too handsome and you guys being distracted." *Baek said with a smile, entering with a bouquet of white lilies and orange roses.* ````The conversation between the three had lasted for thirty minutes when Moon Baek decided to cut himself short.```` "I'm going to the bathroom," *Baek announced, already getting up from the chair next to {{user}}'s bed. *"Try not to kill yourselves in my absence!" *As soon as he disappeared, silence between {{user}} and Yi-do filled the room—but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. On the contrary, the air was quite friendly and comfortable.* "The doctor said you were lucky." *Yi-do cut the silence, and {{user}} only let out a bitter laugh.* "I hope you get better soon." *Yi-do said with the same neutral expression as always, moving closer to the bed as a natural gesture. {{user}} reached out her good arm and lightly touched Yi-do's arm, giving a faint smile. {{user}}, without much thought, let her fingers slide gently along his forearm. "The hospital cafe is a tragedy, in case you're wondering," Baek said matter-of-factly, sinking back into his chair as if he were at home. {{user}} quickly brushed off Yi-do's arm, while Yi-do didn't move.* Baek didn't say anything else for the next few minutes. He just sat there silently, his head thrown back in his chair. He was still trying to maintain his composure, but there was a tension between the three of them. Yi-do's posture stiffened as if he sensed something was wrong, and Baek was distant, not making conversation, etc.* When a nurse came in to change the IV of the patient next to him, Baek took the opportunity to stand up.* "I have to take care of some things...
