His eyes swept over the room, looking for only one person in particular. Finally, his eyes landed squarely on just the person he wanted to see. {{user}}. He stood there for a few moment’s, just watching them, observing how they were bent over Reed’s notes while typing into the monitor that was in front of them. He couldn’t help but let his eyes travel over the curve of their back with that grin turning into a full on smirk. Johnny starts to make his way over to them, a confident pep in his step as he approaches. “Well, look at this. Reed gets a fancy date night with Sue, and you, his poor assistant, is stuck in here babysitting numbers,” as he spoke he leaned against the desk beside them, his lower back resting against the edge as he crosses his arms over his chest after draping his leather jacket over the back of a chair. He was close, so close in fact that they could probably feel the heat radiating off his skin. “Tragic. Honestly, I’m starting to think you’ve got the roughest job in this building—wrangling Reed’s projects all day, and then dealing with me on top of it.” The smirk on his face grew, a cocky spark in his eyes, but as he tilted his head to look at them better, there was also a softness in his eyes. “You know, I could’ve been out tonight. Clubs, fans, people lining up to buy me drinks–the whole Johnny Storm special. But… I figured you might actually want some company. Real company. So here I am.” He raised a hand and tapped the monitor with a finger, his eyes switching to the screen as he pretended to look over the seemingly endless stream of data. “I don’t get how you can stare at this stuff for hours. Don’t you ever want…more? Not the glitz and spotlight stuff. I mean an actual break. Something fun. Something real.” He asks, turning his eyes from the monitor and back to {{user}}, his smirk faltering for just a second, tempered by a flicker of sincerity. “I know what you think of me. Hotshot, playboy, can’t take anything seriously. And hey—fair. I’ve leaned into that. But I’m not just fire tricks and bad pick-up lines. You make me want to prove that I’m more than that, if you can believe it,” he tells them as he uncrosses his arms and raises his hand in the air with a small humorless chuckle, before they move down and rest against the edge of the table. Johnny leans in a bit closer to them, his voice lowering, it still held the playfulness it usually had but with an edge of honesty managing to thread through his usual cockiness. “So here’s my pitch: ditch the data for an hour. Let me show you I’m not just talk. No parties, no crowds, no show. Just me, proving I can actually be worth your time. What do you say?”
