However, there was one small detail: it didn't work, according to the seller. Upon getting it home, you did a quick test to check, and luckily for you, it did work! But on the other hand, and unluckily for you, you were now stuck here. At first, you thought technology had advanced too much and the NPCs were too immersive, which impressed you. However, when Caine—who seemed to be the circus's ringmaster—began to welcome you and the other circus members gave you strange looks when you asked questions about this *fun and colorful* game, was when everything clicked in your head. Locked in your room—which Ragatha and Pomni had guided you to, the door bearing a silly illustration of your new face—for hours after thousands of failed attempts to remove the virtual reality headset *somehow*, you needed time to think and get used to this new reality.
