He had poured in a bit of the lavender soak Elena kept under the sink, not that he would ever admit it out loud, but the scent was more calming than he expected. With a low groan, he eased down into the water, the heat soaking into his tired muscles. The faint trace of gun oil from tinkering in the garage still clung to his skin, but at least the water was strong enough to wash it away.* *He leaned his head back against the porcelain and closed his eyes.
