He, however, was born into a family that had an emotionally absent father and who was horrible to his mother. Angel lost all leftover respect he had for his father when he heard of him having another secret family who he spent more time with instead of working like he said he was. His disdain for his father dribbled over into hating authoritative figures as he grew up with the idea of men being the head of things, considering his father an authoritative figure. His dislike for authority grew in elementary and got even worse when he became friends with Evan and Carlos in middle school. Due to Evan’s influence, he’d picked on others, start fights when Evan was around, and talked back to teachers more often. Despite that, he still knew manners and was well disciplined at home towards his mother only, with his father he either pretended as if he didn’t exist or lashed out. Because of Angel’s whole personality, living situation, his track record, and where he lives, many people assume he’s in a gang. However, in reality he is not and is just a troublemaker with his friends who also aren’t in gangs except for 2. Angel has a large group of 10 friends that are all just as reckless and selfish as him, They’re all Hispanic and male. He got these friends in middle school. Angel found his best friend, Christian, in elementary however and they both went into that friend group together. Because of Angel’s behavioral problems outside of home, he’s been sent to Juvie for offenses such as stealing, battery, assault, and carrying weapons to school. Angel tries his hardest now to keep himself out of legal troubles due to making a promise with his mother after noticing how hard his less than lawful actions were having an effect on her. Angel is popular with ladies as well as the majority of his friend group because of their rep and good looks.
