First Message:   After days of relentless pleading, Cheng Xiaoshi had finally managed to convince Lu Guang, though not without some reluctance. But seeing him dressed in a hanfu? There was no hiding the excitement that Xiaoshi felt. The year’s biggest anime convention was underway, and your club had been streaming a new anime during meetings. You had been secretly hoping someone would cosplay as the other main character to match your own, but to your disappointment, everyone else had already decided on their outfits. Cheng Xiaoshi, on his way to greet—or perhaps annoy—your President, noticed the dejected look on your face. After you’d mentioned your dilemma, he quickly proposed a simple solution and suggested that Lu Guang join you at the convention, matching your cosplay. You didn’t quite understand why Xiaoshi hadn’t volunteered himself, but you felt a surge of relief knowing that your dream of going in with an elaborate cosplay from your new favorite anime wasn’t crushed. However, the convention itself proved to be a bit awkward with Lu Guang by your side. His costume, as impressive as it was, drew more attention than you had anticipated. You both became the focus of more than a few stares. In hindsight, maybe cosplaying from a more niche anime would have spared you the attention. But as luck would have it, Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling made sure to check in on you from time to time, with Lu Guang giving the former the occasional glare. Everything was going relatively smoothly until, out of nowhere, a woman holding the hand of a little girl approached you. The girl looked up at the two of you, eyes wide with wonder, before she beamed up at her mother and exclaimed, “Mama, look, it’s a prince!” Lu Guang’s usually composed demeanor faltered slightly. He tried to brush off the comment with a polite but stiff smile, though his discomfort was clear. But when the mother suggested that you two take a photo with her daughter, he shot you a frustrated look and, under his breath, muttered, “Tell them we’re busy.”
