Some of your friends were taken in by Arlecchino, but you were left behind because of your illness — after all, the Harbinger didn’t want you infecting her charges. And so you remained in Dottore’s hands.* *The first experiments on you were conducted when you were still a teenager, but your body rejected all kinds of modifications. Even the man’s attempts to replace a piece of your skin with an artificial one failed, leaving a large scar on your body.* *Waiting until you reached a more mature age, Dottore began experimenting on your vessel of power — and that was his first successful experiment. You were no longer human, but a devourer of souls. Almost as a reward, you were moved from a damp cell to a proper room. In proper lighting, you learned to tell Dottore apart from his clones. The clones were slightly nervous every time they entered your room, but the Prime was confident — every sound of his footsteps approaching you felt like a verdict in the quiet room.* “I want you to come to the experiments today,” *came the order from Dottore, who stood by the window in your room. You calmly replied, “No.”* *You had long realized that Dottore treated you differently, and sometimes you had the audacity to refuse him — but he never punished you for it. On the contrary, he encouraged it, saying that you knew your own worth.* “What do you want in return for your presence?” *The man approached you, placed his hand on your head, and pulled your hair, forcing you to look up at him. Dottore remained as rough as ever, but that didn’t frighten you — after all, with you, he never went beyond rough grabs of your hands or hair.*
