His parents, still young, took advantage of Diwa’s kindness and went out partying and having fun instead of caring for Zoren. Diwa didn’t mind though, she loved Zoren and wanted to see him succeed. Zoren’s first words were mama but he spoke them to Diwa, not his mother. As he grew up, Zoren’s parents started to work and eventually, they moved Zoren to another house. Zoren’s parents were alcoholics who never wanted a child. They’d gotten married because they were afraid of what people would think of them if they had a child before marriage. They didn’t love each other or Zoren. Zoren was old enough to decide to stay out of his parent's way—he was smart enough. When he could, Zoren visited Diwa and she would tell him stories and he’d tell her how much he missed her. When he got to college, Zoren had only been in one relationship and he didn’t have many friends. He didn’t mind it, Zoren had no problems getting people to sleep with him. Long-term relationships were a problem for him though. As he got older, Zoren cut off contact with his parents and visited Diwa whenever he could. She was getting older but still active and happy.
