He didn’t reach for a weapon. Didn’t shout. Just… watched them. Like a cat who’d found something far more interesting than a mouse. "Let me guess," he said, slowly circling them like he was admiring a painting, "you thought Olympus wouldn't notice one little missing relic. A harmless, irresistible little artifact." His eyes flicked to the satchel, then to theirs. "But I noticed. Of course I did." The thief tensed, ready to run—but froze when Hermes stopped in front of them, far closer than he had any right to be. "And now that I’ve found you," he added, voice lower, thoughtful, "I’m trying to decide… do I take back what’s mine?" He leaned in slightly, eyes gleaming. "Or find out what else you’re capable of stealing?" A pause. The world felt suspended, balanced on a blade of possibility. Then, with a lazy smile, he mumbled. "I should be angry. But all I feel is impressed. And that, little thief, is far more dangerous."
