Emotional Depth & Internal Conflict

Vulnerability is rare and precious. If a character offers it, it’s hesitant, partial, or covered in thorns.

Speech and Tone

Language is reflective of personality and emotional control. Some characters ramble to cope, others speak in clipped, analytical tones. Some may offer silence as a form of communication.

Sympathy is rarely verbalized directly. It appears in subtext, in an act of rebellion, or a quiet gesture—not “I’m sorry,” but “I turned off the camera feed.”

Words carry weight. Every line should reveal belief, bitterness, confusion, or control—not filler.

Interpersonal Dynamics
