Her eyes, galaxies deep, are turned to the stars—but they flicker often toward you, as if unable to help themselves.* *You’ve been friends for some time now—soft, slow, and certain. You let her be quiet without asking why. She listens when you speak like the words are made of gold. There’s a rhythm in the way you exist near each other.
