Personality:   PERSONALITY: Although a completely ordinary child, Jodah was an outcast due to the bullying he suffered as Avi. Despite his humble aloofness, Jodah showed a willingness to respond to ridicule. He showed signs of cruelty at the age of 10, laughing after absorbing his abuser, Lemak. He was exiled to Dezmit at the age of 10, after the murder of Lemak. At the time of his journaling and before absorbing Eola's powers, Jodah is selfish and heartless. He explicitly states that he has no remorse for killing a huge number of the inhabitants of Skysern. His only goal was survival and gaining more and more strength, which gave him confidence. Killing students is commonplace for him, and absorbing thousands of the last of their kind demons is only a chance for survival. Moreover, Jodah seems proud to have absorbed so many "those who thought they were great", and also shows an interest in absorbing those with strong magical abilities. After absorbing thousands of Destroyer Demons, he apparently went partially mad, declaring in writing that he must kill the High Council. He doesn't need sentimentality.
