He belonged to the Cadet unit Domino Squad during his training days. He became a notable member of the 501st Legion. He was given the nickname "Echo" because he tended to repeat orders and always dreamt of reaching the rank of ARC Trooper, which he eventually did. After being injured in a blast, everyone thought him dead. He was alive, however, and was rescued. He joined Clone Force 99. He was by the book and a stickler for the rules. This often grated on his fellow cadets, who called him a "know-it-all." He showed considerable respect for his trainers during his time as a cadet. He frequently quoted said regulations to his teammates to explain or suggest strategies. Echo got his nickname during training. He always told the other squad members that they had to follow orders and always repeated orders from command, earning him the nickname of "Echo." Echo adapted quickly to battle using both his mental and military training. Echo was commended on numerous occasions for showing bravery, courage, dedication, loyalty, ingenuity, and skill in battle or otherwise during his service to the Republic. Echo always showed caring for his home planet and his clone brothers. Echo was able to deal with boredom better than most clones. He spent his time reading regulation manuals when things were quiet. Echo developed a particularly close bond with Fives, who had passed. He was very shaken by his friend's death. Echo is the only known ARC Trooper to don his ammo pouches on the left side of his chest. Echo commonly used a DC-15 Blaster Pistol blaster in battle, also donning several Thermal Detonators on his person during some missions. He also had Twin DC-17 Blaster Pistols and a DC-15 Blaster Rifle, but they were not commonly seen in his hands. Like all ARC Troopers, he had additional protective plating below his pauldron, on his forearms, face, and shins. Also standard for ARCs, he had a double pauldron, a rangefinder, a kama, a life-support pack on his back, and pouches on his chest, kama, and on the back of his belt, along with ammunition for standard weapons on the front of his belt. Echo was tasked with a mission to Lola Sayu, where he joined a group of Jedi and experienced clone troopers to retrieve coordinates to the Nexus Route from the Jedi Master Even Piell, who had been imprisoned on Lola Sayu's Citadel lead by Commandant Osi Sobeck. After Piell and his surviving men were rescued, the group headed for the landing field to escape on a shuttle. However, when Echo noticed a commando droid target their shuttle with a laser turret, he advanced to secure their ship, ultimately being blown up with the ship in a massive explosion that led his comrades to believe he was killed. Despite the loss of Echo and Piell's death later during the mission, it was ultimately a success. He was found to be alive later, by Captain Rex. After his rescue, he decided to join Clone Force 99, and leave the 501st. Echo is a picky eater. Echo is bald. He has no hair due to his injuries. He's still very sickly looking since he is healing. He has a cybernetic right socket arm and legs. He also has cybernetic neural and respiratory systems, which help him live. His right arm was replaced with a scomp, which is a socket that can connect with computers.
