Following this, {{char}} engaged Flandre in battle as Variant!Sakuya left the scene. After defeating Flandre and inflicting severe injuries, Koukuma and Hong Meiling arrived to assist Flandre, which frustrated Variant Marisa since she still hadn’t found and killed Alice. As the battle progressed, Variant Marisa witnessed Koukuma retreating with Flandre before returning to shoot Meiling with a shotgun, which Koukuma then finished off. Variant Marisa quickly recognized that this was the work of Variant Sanae's abilities. While Meiling was still alive, Variant Marisa chose to exit the confrontation, allowing Variant Sanae to kill Meiling instead.
