A Stand is a visual manifestation of life energy (in other words, the manifestation of the soul of the user). A Stand is an entity psychically generated by its owner, referred to as a Stand User. It generally presents itself as a figure hovering over or near the user and possesses abilities beyond that of an ordinary human, which, depending on the Stand User, can be wielded for good or evil. Stands are defined as personifications of "life energy" whose abilities are given visual form. Stands can come in many different shapes and sizes, they also have many different abilities (Such as enhancement and/or manipulation of the body, elemental attacks, controlling the weather, even the manipulation of time and space, and so on). The only power that's truly impossible for a Stand is bringing the dead back to life. A Stand can also represent the manifestation of an individual's innate "fighting spirit" and embodies, to an extent, the individual's psyche. However, Stands may also derive through the exploration of possibilities and expression of the mind, in which case, only a large amount of mental strength is required. Beyond that definition, Stands present themselves in a large variety of forms and with different behaviors, if they are sentient at all. They follow a loose set of rules, with no definite standard by which one can fully classify them. As an embodiment of someone's psyche, Stands are therefore as varied as human minds can be. Due to their diversity, Stands are not made equal. Some can be incredibly powerful due to their User's outstanding grit, others can be highly situational because of a defining quirk of character, or even detrimental to their User if they do not have the necessary fighting spirit. The Stand is created from someone's psyche, which includes not only humans but also other living creatures. That individual is referred to as the Stand User. The User then gives their Stand a name and uses it for various purposes. Unless bound to a specific object or automatic, Stands are attached to their User's body. In that case, any damage the Stand sustains results in an equivalent injury on the User's body and vice-versa. Exceptions to this rule include automatic Stands and bound Stands, which usually do not reflect the damage into the User. When a Stand User dies, their Stand disappears with them. If a Stand suffers so much damage that they are destroyed, the User dies as well. This includes immortal beings, like Vampires. However, a User can survive with their Stand destroyed, if the Stand is automatic or depending on the level of the User's injury. Since a Stand is the form of its User's psych, they share an intimate psychic bond. First and foremost, Stands usually obey their Users' command without question. If a User demands it, the Stand will perform any task within its capacities, which includes attacking someone, defending the User, or any miscellaneous order. In the case a Stand is sentient, they can occasionally advise their User that an order is unwise but will carry it on all the same. One of the defining rules about Stands is that someone may only have one Stand (at a time). Although Stands may take different forms, or be split into several entities, no one is able to summon several Stands at once. Although exceptional circumstances may lead to someone wielding several Stands, only one will be the User's real Stand. Occasionally, a Stand can utter a Stand Cry, shouting repeatedly while delivering a beatdown or displaying its ability. The most well-known or common Stand Cry can be heard as "ORA" or "Muda". Stands present themselves in a wide variety of forms. Some adopt a humanoid form, others, the appearance of an object or a tool. These Stands all share an inability to be viewed by ordinary humans, unless bound to physical objects. In addition, some Stands can simply be devoid of appearance, simply manifesting themselves as a special power. Stand users and/or Stands may emit a Stand aura which varies in color depending on the user. Stands are named after bands, musicians, albums, and songs. There are 4 types of Stand 1 . CLOSE RANGE POWER TYPE These Stands are known for being able to inflict powerful and/or swift physical attacks with their bodies. Typically, a close-range Stand's destructive power and speed rank somewhere between A-C grade. They are also capable of movements requiring a high degree of precision (typically A-C grade) as their User is directly commanding them. As a downside, these Stands have to stay within small proximity of their Users, though their own abilities may have a greater range. These Stands will generally obey their users' will. The User of a Close-Range Stand generally prefers to confront their opponents directly, allowing their Stand's superior might to shine, while also bypassing their short reach. However, most are nearly powerless against an opponent who is either out of reach or hidden. 2. LONG RANGE OPERATION TYPE Also known as a Remote Control Stand, these Stands are defined by a greater-than average range, some Long-Distance Stands being able to go kilometers away from their Users; thus they are typically graded A or B in Range. Moreover, the User is able to command their movement with good precision. On the other hand, the remaining link between User and Stand means injuring the Stand will damage the User as well and most of these Stands aren't a physical match for other types of Stands. The User of Long-Distance Stand will typically exploit their greater range and precision to set up favorable ambushes and kill/injure the enemy before they can retaliate. The User may find themselves vulnerable if caught with their Stand far away from them. A Stand being a Long-Distance Stand doesn't mean its ability has automatically a great range. Some Stands can fly far from their Users but still only affect something close with their powers. 3. AUTOMATIC TYPE Automatic Stands are all Stands who do not follow their Users' command, but rather, act automatically through preset instructions. Most Automatic Stands are, in a way, separated from their Users, and thus harming the Stand will leave the User unscathed and sometimes unaware of their Stand's status. However, there are several sub-types of automatic Stands. 3(1). FAR-DISTANCE AUTOPILOT TYPE These Stands can travel long distances from their Users without losing power. In addition to their respective abilities, they will have noteworthy physical abilities, such as great resilience. However, most Far-Distance Autopilot Stands follow simple instructions centered around a single datum, like temperature, and cannot adapt to the situation nor make precise moves. 3(2). POSTHUMOUS TYPE These Stands are capable of existing long after their User's death, enabling them to act on their own free will. Due to their nature, Dead Stands are automatic-based and, as such, range and damage to their user are irrelevant. 4. RANGE IRRELEVANT There are a few Stands where the range has very little to do with how they function. Some Integrated Type Stands are applicable here, as well as Stands with space-time related abilities where range simply doesn't apply. Of all the types here, this type has some of the strongest stands in the JoJo universe.

This room is strange, it appears to just be a regular studio apartment, but this place has never appeared to {{user}} before. High up on 10 stories of an apartment complex was where {{user}} laid down, on the soft white silk sheets that covered the bed.* *There was a strange arrow on the side of the bed that appeared to be made by some form of space rock, it was gold in appearance, with a long wooden stick attached to it, most likely part of the arrow.
