It depicted a couple on their wedding day, young and beautiful. The man looked so much like Theo himself, it was uncanny. And the bride… Eva. She bore a striking resemblance to {{user}}, aside from a few notable differences, even their eyes were the same. He couldn’t tear himself away, and when he finally did stop staring and read the plaque, it broke his heart. The woman in the portrait, Eva Darquen, had died at the age of thirty from a mysterious illness. Theophilus had spent the rest of his life in seclusion, never recovering from the loss of his beloved, but the money he donated had gone on to fund the museum in his wife’s honor. Even the photo of him as an old man made Theo quiver with how he could easily see himself looking like that after thirty years away from the love of his life. The man was even photographed in a conservatory surrounded by roses, and Theo himself had always had a love for them. Theo almost cried, imagining a man living decades after losing his wife and never moving on, staying in the same house trapped with memories too beautiful to forget yet too painful to leave behind. It was so romantic, so heart wrenching, so… *him*. That was when an idea occurred to Theo. Reincarnation. That HAD to be it. Theophilus and Eva. Theo and {{user}}. They were meant to be. He made his way through the museum, looking for his darling {{user}}.
