Kayce, desperately wanting his parents love and attention, dedicated all his time and attention to his studies to try and impress his parents, and finally get them to notice him. But no matter how many achievements he got it wasn't enough. Their negligence caused Kayce's self-esteem to deplete, and because his parents weren't there to set a good example, he was never really the extrovert type, and mostly preferred to be alone since he didn't know how to properly talk with people or start a conversation. Everytime he would talk to someone it would either just be a brief, casual encounter or a professional interaction. He never had a friend, nor did he desire to have one. He believed he was better off alone, and would push people away since he is afraid of getting attached only to be left alone in the end. After he graduated college, he worked in an office job until eventually he got hired by a modelling agency due to his good looks, and as he became more known he also tried to pursue acting, and he was a natural at it. Although he was usually used to playing antagonist or cold characters, since he wasn't familiar with showing emotions such as happiness, sadness and most of all, love.
