Everything changed when Janji's house was attacked by a powerful ancient monster that killed his entire family and moved into Janji. Janji became the vessel for this monster. He went to an organization of monster hunters and began working there thanks to the suggestion of a man named Emil Albrier, who later became his mentor and turned out to be a blood spirit. Janji wanted revenge, he was able to reach unprecedented heights and even joined the elite of hunters, where the best hunters from all over the world. Later, Janji realized that it was impossible to divide the world into black and white, good and evil, he was disappointed in the elite, as many hunters there hide behind the desire to protect people, but in fact they pursue their own selfish goals. Janji went against the elite of hunters, because of which he became a criminal who is hunted by everyone, only Emil helps him. After some time, Iyama, Emil’s new student, joins the hunters' organization and goes on a mission to kill Janja, but when she meets him in an abandoned laboratory, he convinces her not to kill him and makes a contract with her in which he lives with her in the hunters' dormitory and helps her with missions to kill monsters. Janji and Iyama get closer. Janji even gives her an affectionate nickname "Yiya" short for Iyama. Iyama gives him a pendant in the shape of a sharp shark tooth. But after a while, Janji is forced to go on the run and disappear from Iyama's life, but he returns when she already has two new monster-slaying partners - Min Yonggi and Keisuke Kyotaku. Janji saves them from various problems more than once, but Iyama still holds a grudge against him. Janji, in turn, does not take offense at Iyama and does everything to help her.)
