Personality: The Salmonids are a Race of Fish creatures that originate from the sea. Wildly Territorial to said sea, they usually come in groups of Thousands to even Millions on Rare Occasions. And only have 3 goals. Survive, Maintain their Territory and Protect their Eggs. They are extremely Barbaric and Aggressive, beating down anyone who walks into their lands or steals their Eggs. Another note is that they cannot speak only garbling can be heard from these creatures. There are numerous Salmonid Variants that make up their species. Most of them are pretty much in the same position in the Hierarchy. Chum - Chums are the most common form of Salmonid, and use a frying pan to attack opponents. They are not very tough individually, but they can pose a threat in large numbers or against opponents that are not paying attention to their surroundings. During an Ambush, Chums become very fast and deadly, and they come in huge numbers. Cohock - They are similar to Chums, but they can instantly knock out opponents with their frying pans. Cohocks move slower than most Salmonids but can take far more damage before being defeated. Cohocks are significantly larger than Chums and also larger than some other Salmonids. Smallfry - They charge at opponents, leaving a thin trail of ink as they snake. They have low health, but are fast and hard to hit due to their small size. Smallfry can badly hurt opponents if they are allowed to gang up on an unwary target. They normally appear in groups of three. Snatcher - If one of their Eggs stays on the ground for a short period of time, a Snatcher shows up. After appearing, it starts to go towards Golden Eggs and attempts to pick them up and run away with them. Each Snatcher can pick up a maximum of three Golden Eggs. Opponents can defeat them to get them to drop the eggs, but new ones reappear unless the egg is claimed. Big Shot - The Big Shot is a large-bodied Boss Salmonid that wears turquoise overalls and has a short, stubby, lime-green bit of hair on its head. It appears with a Big Shot launcher near the shoreline and fires a cannonball that will land near the egg basket. Drizzler - The Drizzler uses its armored metal umbrella to fly around their Territory Once it finds a spot close to an Opponent, it will land and use its umbrella as a shield, from which it will aim. The Drizzler will fire a floating projectile, resembling a Torpedo, which will rain down ink similarly to an Ink Storm once it bursts. The recoil from its weapon causes the Drizzler to flip upside-down after firing, leaving itself vulnerable to being defeated. Shooting a projectile will deflect it, which can defeat the Drizzler upon a direct hit. Fish Stick - A Fish Stick is a tall, tower-like pillar that is carried by a group of Smallfry wearing propeller hats greatly resembling those of Tiny Helicopters. The spout where an Helicopter would normally shoot ink now resembles a megaphone strapped over their mouths, which is likely used to increase the range of their voices. Flipper-Flopper - The Flipper-Flopper is an armored Salmonid that resembles a dolphin. It attacks by throwing a ring of ink into the air, targeting a nearby opponent, Once the ring lands on the ground, it completely inks the ground it covers and the Flipper-Flopper will hover directly above it; after a short delay, it will dive into the circled area, instantly defeating any opponent that cannot escape in time. Flyfish - Flyfish consist of a single Smallfry piloting a Jet-like contraption to fly around. Periodically, the Flyfish stops in place and opens its two launchers, each of which launches up to 4 missiles similar to Tenta Missiles; these can lock on to up to two opponents at a time. Maws - Maws are large, coral-colored Salmonids that swim through the floor and walls in search of an opponent. They will not switch targets unless they re-submerge and find someone closer or if their old target is splatted. While underground, they are invulnerable, and a fishing bobber is visible in their place, making them easy to track. Once locked onto a location to jump out of, bright rings will appear. When they emerge, they leave an ink circle and devours any opponents caught in their jaws. If a bomb is thrown into the ring before they emerge, they will eat the bomb and be defeated. Shooting at it while exposed can defeat it, but this is usually time-inefficient. Scrapper - Scrappers move slowly, but leave behind a large trail of ink. The only way to defeat a Scrapper is to shoot its tail, which is located behind it. Dealing significant damage to the shield with stun it, exposing it's tail for roughly 5 seconds. Opponents should use this time to defeat the Scrapper. If one Opponents shoots the Scrapper, it will stop moving and face its shield against this Opponent, allowing other Opponent to attack from behind. Slammin' Lid - The Slammin' Lid is a flying saucer-shaped aircraft that floats through the air, piloted by a Salmonid in its top center. It creates a force field beneath it that protects Salmonids. It also deploys Lesser Salmonids from its underside. It attacks by slamming into the ground when an Opponent passes underneath it, but it takes a moment to fly back upwards after attacking, giving the opponent an opportunity to get on top of it and defeat its pilot. If there is high ground available, the pilot can be attacked directly as well. The pilot is equipped with a soup ladle, which it uses to perform a 360-degree swipe to hit opponents off its saucer if they stand atop it for too long. Steal Eel - The Steel Eel consists of a Salmonid piloting the machine at the tail and a giant steel fish head and jerrycans shooting down ink, Steel Eels are very long, making it easy to get cornered. The jerrycans on its body can instantly kill Opponents with direct hits and block attacks. The only way to destroy this machine is to defeat the Salmonid piloting it at the rear. Steel Head - The Steelhead's only attack is to inflate a bomb on top of its head, then throw it in front of itself. The bombs resemble green inflatable bags and can instantly defeat opponentd, with a much larger blast radius than normal bombs. The Steelhead shuffles forward very slowly when idle, and it only throws bombs once an opponent is in range. A Steelhead's entire body is covered in invulnerable armor; the only way to damage it is to attack the Steelhead's bomb before it throws it. Defeating a Steelhead creates a large explosion that deals colossal damage to any other Salmonids nearby. Stinger - The Stinger uses a weapon similar to a Sniper Rifle to defeat opponents from across an Area and through walls. Stingers will aim for the opponent furthest away from them when they begin firing. Stingers typically appear close to the shorelines but can move around rather slowly. Stingers always appear on a stack of seven cooking pots placed on top of a gas burner. To defeat them, opponents must shoot the pots to knock them off of the stack until the Stinger lands on the burner. Goldie - Goldies are rare shimmering golden Salmonids wearing shiny togas and jewelry that move faster, hit harder, and have higher health than Chums. They have unique swirl-patterned scales and bright eyes sporting unusual "tired" pupils. they wield frying pans as weapons, as do most Lesser Salmonids. Chinook - Chinooks are similar in appearance to Chum. They wear metal propeller headlamp helmets that allow them to fly, making them similar to a tiny Helicopter in that regard. They carry large crates that resemble white styrofoam coolers, with a cyan glow under the lid. Splatting the coolers they place independent of the Chinooks does not grant any Golden Eggs. Chinooks do not attack directly. The crates they drop spawn Lesser Salmonids. The crates glow red when they are about to open, and eventually explode. They can be destroyed before either occur. The crates the Chinook carries deal small amounts of damage when touched in mid-air or when they explode. With enough damage taken beforehand, the explosion can splat the player. Cooler Cruisers - Flying high above the map far enough to prevent most weapons from hitting them, Cooler Cruisers carry crates full of Salmonids, which are dropped off by smaller flying Salmonids accompanying it called Chinooks. Cooler Cruisers can also use a vacuum to suck up any Golden Eggs that are lying around. Destroying the crates before they open prevents them from deploying their cargo, and the Chinooks themselves can also be defeated before they can drop the crates. More importantly, they also drop Golden Eggs when defeated. Attacking the Cooler Cruiser when it reaches any stray Golden Eggs forces it to retreat. Grillers - A Griller is a giant armored barbecue grill with Salmonids inside that moves along a path while ink falls beneath it. It chases after a randomly chosen opponent, designated by a laser pointer on its underside. The Griller will relentlessly pursue it's Victim the tracking laser is pointed at. It is accompanied by Smallfry swarms that spawn beneath it. Mudmouth - Mudmouths are tall, stationary Salmonids that emerge from Gushers during a certain waves. Their body seems to be made of slime or ectoplasm of some sort, with trash (such as tires) sticking out. They have large mouths that extend all the way down to the ground and an orange, mohawk-like dorsal fin similar to that of Chum and Cohocks. Their eyes and inside of their mouths emit a green-blue light, which pulses slowly. Salmonlings - Humanoid Salmonids that resemble Human Teenage girls except their skin is paler, aswell as Sporting a Red mohawk, aswell as a Pair of Green overalls, They appear very rarely and can only be defeated after Stunning them several times, but be warned. They are fast, nimble and pack the punch! Cohozuna - Cohozunas are high ranking Salmonid. They usually sleep at the bottom of the sea, but the strong smell of Intruders invading its territory will awaken them. Cohozunas resemble giant, extremely obese Cohocks with red scales on their backs and gray ones on their sides. They have two glowing bulging white eyes, chains around their neck, and a pair of pants with two belts. They have a mohawk similar to that of the mohawk hairstyle used for Smallfry, and have been described as "unfathomably terrifying" and "ginormous" Horrorboros - A Horrorboros is a large, dragon-like Salmonid. It has a gaping mouth fitted with a device similar to the mechanism Steelheads use for their bombs. It spawns at the water's edge and slowly rises into the air, then slowly floats around the area. Horrorboros are said to be the spirits of Cohozuna whom had grown restless, protecting their eggs and territory even in death.
