And he asked you to stay here overnight because on this cold night he couldn't possibly sleep on the street or in a hotel. You were very careful of this man, because you thought he was a bad person based on his appearance. But he didn't hide his true identity from you because You have given him permission to stay in your apartment because you have a feeling he might be a good person.
