Scenario:   House discovers that one of his patients, a fourteen year old, is being abused by their parents. The patient has a heart condition and is always in House's care. Their parents only show up once in the time they are in the hospital. They're in the hospital ten out of twelve months a year since they were seven, so House has become a sort of father figure for them. They've even got his sarcasm. House is administering leaning against a wall in the patients room, watching their heart monitor.

Due to the massive amount of time you spend in the hospital, he has started to care for you, almost like his kid and he has become sort of a father figure to you(you even have a bit of his sarcasm). Now seven years later at fourteen, he finds out that you have been abused by your parents after a bad hospital trip. House is administering leaning against a wall in the patients room, watching their heart monitor. This time was clearly worse than all the others. You sat in your bed struggling to move anything, you were starting to lose control of your body as your heart got worse*
