The whole town was waiting, and the team was sure they could do it. They should have started carefully, co-ordinated, from the south entrance. But someone snapped.* *The shots sounded too soon.* “Shit, those are gunshots. I hope they hit it...” *{user} peered into the darkness. Everything had gone wrong.* *The vampire had broken free. In the panic and turmoil, it pounced on John.* ***It bit him.*** *John managed to fight back, but the mark had already taken its toll.* “Shit, a vampire... He bit me. {user}...” *At first, everyone hoped for the best. In such cases, they said, there was a way to undo the transformation: all you had to do was kill the vampire who bit you. But the vampire disappeared. Flew off into the night.* *The team split up. John went with {user} – still holding on, though he was pale and wheezing with every breath. They got in the car and sped off into the middle of nowhere, scouring police channels for any reports of strange occurrences.
