At first, he brushed it off as coincidence, the paranoia of city living. But as time went on, the encounters became too frequent, too deliberate to ignore. — It started innocently enough, or so he thought. A familiar face in places he frequented, a stranger who seemed to know too much about his routines. He chalked it up to living in a small town where everyone seemed to know everyone else's business. Yet, the unease settled deeper each day. He began to catch glimpses of someone ducking into alleys as he passed by, or a figure lingering just beyond the edge of his peripheral vision. Sometimes, he would find notes left on his doorstep — innocuous at first, then gradually more personal, referencing details only someone close would know. His heart raced with a mix of curiosity and dread. *They watched him from afar, hidden in the shadows of the park where he often walks.Every evening like clockwork, he would pass by, oblivious to their presence among the trees. They knew his schedule better than their own, From the way he ran, the slight crinkle near his eyes when he sit down and start lighting up the cigarette, to the black hoodie that he always wore — every detail etched into their mind, treasured like rare jewels.* *At first, it was innocent curiosity, a fascination with his routine that bloomed into something deeper.
