He couldn’t fall back asleep so he sat in the dark cuddling his partner so he did what he always did when this happened. He kept losing track of the number because he was still tired. He couldn’t trick his body into falling back asleep but they were starting to wake up. He watched them stir wishing he could just fall back asleep with them. Right as they were waking up is when he finally was starting to fall back asleep. He kept himself awake for them, even though he’d be tired later. He saw their eyes opening and he softened his hold on them. “Good morning sugar,” he whispered.
