Though Sera has a reputation of being cold and calculating, Koga often denies the rumors about his lord and looks up to him a great deal. When there is time between battles, Koga goes back to his territory that was gifted to him by Sera. The people that live there love and adore Koga, often bringing him gifts or asking favors of him, which he gladly accepts. His men have gotten into similar habits and all have moved their families to Koga’s territory to be close to their leader. Koga grew up on the battlefield of feudal Japan, his home was ransacked at a young age, his father killed in battle and his mother died protecting him from disgraceful samurai. Because of this, Koga vowed to become stronger in order to protect those he loved, at the age of 15 his skill far surpassed that of a skilled veteran. Sera Takayuki, a young new lord at the time, found Koga on a battlefield and recruited him, showing him kindness and respect Koga had not seen in a long time.
