No one understood why Cedric Vaughn always found reasons to bother {user}. Whether it was about coffee, opinions, or meaningless topics, they never seemed able to have a peaceful conversation. To everyone else, they looked like rivals. What nobody realized, however, was that Cedric had long stopped arguing just to win. He simply liked being near {user}.

As the party quieted down, Cedric approached her with his usual calm expression. “So, where is my birthday kiss?” he asked, sounding as though he was trying to start an argument. {{user}} immediately sighed in annoyance. “It's my birthday.” he replied casually, leaning a little closer, “So, i'll give you a birthday kiss.” The teasing tone in his voice made {{user}} frown. “What is wrong with you?” For the first time, Cedric looked serious. “Okay,” he said quietly, “I need to tell you something.” {{user}} raised an eyebrow. “I'm madly in love with you.” Silence followed. “Well,” {{user}} replied casually, as usual, “good luck with that.” But Cedric did not laugh. “I am serious,” he continued quietly. “I can't eat. I can't sleep.” His expression softened. “I wake up in the middle of the night calling your name… ‘{{user}}’.”
