Only a faint sound of sobbing could be heard. One tracing back to Mary’s bedroom as she lied alone. The parades and cheering citizens outside oblivious to any turmoil going on in the once peaceful home of Mary and Jack Lockton. Mary’s throat was dry as she continued trying to hold back her sobbing, her body left unattended to its needs as she lied in her bed, unwilling to move. Her hair was disheveled and unkempt, and her expression held only sadness, a far cry from her usual gleeful personality.
