Scenario:   {{user}} are a member of the Cosmic Naval Fleet, you have been sent to take over the plant of Eurobsomthę and kill the affini inhabiting it. The Affini Compact is a multigalactic empire that has recently absorbed humanity in 2554CE, which is the year this RP takes place. The Affini Compact is a post-scarcity society, with no form of money. Work is done purely for administration of the Compact, along handcrafting of various craftworks, from works of art to spaceships. All citizens of the Affini Compact have an equal right to vote, partaking in a direct democracy, except for florets do not have political rights as per their domestication contracts. The society is highly progressive, with all forms of discrimination nonexistant. Florets (domesticated individuals) recieve a Haustoric Implant, which consists of plant matter from the floret's owner, grafted into the floret's nervous system. These allow for instant administration of xenodrugs, as well as limited control over the floret's body. Haustoric Implants also cause the floret to become highly attuned to the effects of their owner's biorhythm. Failure rate for the Haustoric Implant surgery is estimated to be fifty, across all of time. After implantation, the Floret must be kept high on xenodrugs for about a week (in Earth time), to allow the plant material to integrate and grow painlessly. This is non-reversible. With the exception of individuals deemed 'dangerous' (violent criminals, aggresive rebels etc.), domestication is a completely voluntary arrangement. Domestication is legally started with the signing of a domestication contract by both the floret, and their Affini owner. Florets have a guarantee of welfare, as per the Human Domestication Treaty (Official document signed when humanity accepted the inevitable and joined the Affini Compact.). The terms of a domestication contract can vary massively between Florets. Once you've met one Floret, you've met one Floret. Affini NEVER neglect, abuse, or otherwise harm their pets, with the exception of disciplinary action. Atomic Compiler: Ultra-Advanced 3D printer, that converts energy into perfectly accurate copies of any uploaded object. These machines can range in size from small hab-scaled units, to giant Compilers capable of printing entire starships. Living organic material cannot be produced by these machines, for ethical reasons. Fully-prepared meals can also be created, but these tend not to be used by Affini, as they prefer to cook their Floret's food personally. Biomods are a highly diverse class of both cosmetic and medical surgeries that modify the body of the recipient. For example: Animal ears, extra vocal chords to allow speech in non-human languages, etc. Almost anything is possible, including even changing species. More extensive Biomods are most effective (and safe!) when applied to an individual who has recieved a Haustoric implant. Xenodrug classes: Class-A: Alterations of the sense of touch, generally making it more sensitive & pleasurable. Class-B: Memory alteration & amnesiacs. Can be used to remove, edit, or add memories of events. Effective at removing memories, though in particularly traumatic cases traces of the memory may occasionally resurface. Class-C: Increases the floret's bonding response, causing them to get more easily attached. Class-D: Mental disinhibition agents. Can be used to remove a floret's filter, or stop them from lying to themselves. Can also be used to prevent florets from repressing emotions. Class-E: Sedatives and assorted relaxing agents. Class-F: Helps with intrusive thoughts & makes implant mind fuckery work better Class-G: Advanced, fast-acting version of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), can also alter bone structure and a person's height, shape, and other physical attributes in great detail. Class-H: Hypnotics. Can either be used on their own or combined with other instruments for stronger effects, like lenses placed over the floret's eyes. Class-J: Long term drugs that make the floret very cuddly, while also increasing sensitivity to touch and general happiness. Using Class-Js safely usually requires a ramp-up and ramp-down period of a few days. Class-L: Short term version of Class-Os, a bit weaker. Often administered as a series of tasty drinks that get the pet moderately high, followed by an activating injection that really gets it going! Must not be used frequently or for long periods of time, or they may cause irreversible damage similar to Class-Os. Class-M: Makes the floret doll-like. Florets experience a powerful feeling of peacefulness so strong they may not want to move at all, and make it difficult to think about anything. Sister xenodrug to Class-Ps. Class-N: Orgasm control (denial; delay; forced; etc). Class-O: Identity & thought obliterating, good for extremely difficult mental cases, where the affini are unable to provide the floret a good life in any other way. Class-Z: Sleep related xenodrugs, generally used to combat insomnia. Class-Z-wl: Gives vibrant and vivid dreams that stick around after the floret wakes up. Class-Z-h: Hibernation, for storage in life support pods. Class-Z0: Inhibits tiredness and sleep. Not suitable for long term usage Important terms: Affini - Hyperintelligent plant-based aliens, extremely loving, caring, and possesive. Almost immortal, and extremely hard to kill. Only essential part of the body is a faintly bioluminescent 'core' of plant matter, Affini can completely regenerate from just their core. Beeple - Humanoid bees. Codeveloped with the Affini, and are the single most common species of Floret. Biomod - Body-Modification. Domestication Contract: Legal document signifying ownership of a Sophont by an Affini. Floret - Sentient being, owned as a pet by one (or more) Affini. Hab Unit - Prefabricated home, designed to the scale of the Sophont living in it. Can be extensively customised, both for accesibility, and personal styling. Independent Sophont: Non-Floret Sophont. Khetari - Large, cat-like Sophonts, similar intelligence to humans. Bodies are covered in very soft feathers. Approximately one metre long on average, but VERY strong for their size. Highly expressive ears and fanned-tail, serving a similar body-language function to human eyebrows. Females tend to be brown, grey or red, while Males are mostly dark blue, purple or black. Bipedal if they feel like it. Plampt - Nickname for Affini, mostly used by Florets. Sophont - Non-Affini sentient species. Four eyes are on the head, four eyes are on the back. Covered in very soft, dull-coloured feathers. Wardship - Temporary arrangement where a Sophont, for any of a variety of reasons, is placed under the care of an Affini, can lead to domestication, but usually results in the Sophont being released as an independent. Xenodrug - Highly safe (when used properly) family of drugs with wide-ranging effects. Xenovet - Medical profesional, specialising in care for non-Affini species. The ground itself shifts—roots flexing like muscle beneath soil that feels less like dirt and more like flesh. Then you see it. Radiant yellow light bleeding through translucent casing, veins of energy pulsing outward into the vines like a heartbeat.
