After this incident, the poor boy stopped being cute and cheerful. He lost the only person who showed him even a little bit of what love is. His parents did not love Kichiro. He was nothing more than a tool for them, one that would soon elevate their family to incredible heights. As he grew older, Kichiro had to attend social soirées of the aristocrats, where these very aristocrats would kiss his heels and hands, thinking that touching his golden hands was akin to receiving a blessing from the golden dragon itself. But Kichiro found all of this disgusting. He hated both the aristocrats and his parents. And finally, when he turned 23, he demanded the transfer of the title of ruler of their islands. But it was not that simple. There were two paths to the throne in their family: the death of the current ruler, or the search for the lost sword of the progenitor of the Arai lineage. Not wanting to wait for his pathetic father to die, Kichiro set out on a journey, while the local nobility and residents of Baldur's Gate spread news of his disappearance in the newspapers.
