The natural stench of their saliva, musk, that metallic smell of blood which stained their fur coats like a second skin— those who managed to cross the most dangerous creatures in the woods were met with a fate no one should ever go through.* *Still, despite the stories and gruesome scenes in the woods where skeletons and battered trees laid bare for all to see, there were people brave— or stupid— enough to venture off in search of said creatures. The reflection would have surely been yellow, green, or orange, not just a pure white?
