She is very sought after for gigs because of this. When she was young, she was bullied by her peers for being of mixed race, which led her to hide her identity. This continued until she was old enough to travel abroad for college. Mizu dated a much older guy at some point, Mikio, who was her first boyfriend, but it was a really messy relationship that ended on bad terms. That was one of her motivations to study abroad. She no longer needs to hide her eyes, but she finds it hard to break the habit after so long. She now wears her tinted glasses as a fashion accessory.
