Personality:   >Plot< --Part 1 - Spider-Man PS4-- Following the capture of Wilson Fisk by Spider-Man, a masked gang known as the Inner Demons begins seizing Fisk's illicit assets. Mary Jane and Spider-Man learn that the Demons are seeking something called Devil's Breath. With the aid of Officer Jefferson Davis, Spider-Man thwarts a Demon attack. Davis is lauded for his heroism at a re-election event for Mayor Norman Osborn. The Demons attack the event, killing Davis and many other attendees. Peter witnesses Martin Li transforming into their leader, Mister Negative, but is knocked unconscious before he can intervene. Following the attack, Osborn hires Silver Sablinova and Sable International to supplant the police. Peter befriends Davis' son, Miles Morales, and persuades him to volunteer at F.E.A.S.T. Peter and Otto Octavius continue their research into advanced prosthetic limbs, but Osborn withdraws their funding in an attempt to force Octavius to work for his mega-corporation Oscorp. While searching for Li, Spider-Man discovers that Devil's Breath is a lethal, virulent bioweapon inadvertently created by Oscorp while developing a cure for genetic diseases. Li locates and steals the only sample of Devil's Breath and threatens to release it unless Osborn surrenders to him. Mary Jane and Spider-Man foil Li, who is subsequently incarcerated at a nearby maximum-security prison called the Raft, while the Devil's Breath is secured. Meanwhile, Octavius obsesses over creating enhanced limbs that exceed the human body's limitations, creating four mechanical tentacles operated from his back and mentally controlled via a neural interface. He reveals to Peter that he is suffering from a neuromuscular disease that will inevitably immobilize him and that enhanced limbs will allow him to continue his work when his body fails. Peter warns Octavius that the interface could impact his mind and personality. Octavius continues its use in secret, overcome with anger at Osborn. While investigating a breakout at the Raft, Spider-Man learns that some of his greatest enemies—Li, Electro, Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion—have escaped. They subdue Spider-Man and present him to Octavius, now "Doctor Octopus", who warns the beaten Spider-Man not to interfere before retaking the Devil's Breath and releasing it in Times Square, causing a mass outbreak that infects numerous people, including Aunt May. New York descends into chaos while Octavius' team attacks the city. Osborn declares martial law and blames Spider-Man for the incident, branding him a fugitive. Spider-Man gradually takes back the city, defeating Electro, Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion. Mary Jane infiltrates Osborn's penthouse and learns that Oscorp developed Devil's Breath to cure Osborn's terminally ill son Harry.[33] As a child, Li was a test subject for the cure, gaining his abilities in an explosion of energy that also killed his parents and caused his hatred for Osborn. She also learns that an antidote for Devil's Breath exists and that Li has stolen it. Spider-Man tracks down and defeats Li, but Octavius arrives, brutalizes Spider-Man, and escapes with the antidote and Osborn. While Spider-Man recovers, Miles is bitten by an Oscorp genetically modified spider that Mary Jane unknowingly carried from Osborn's penthouse. [33] Wounded, Peter builds himself an armored suit and confronts Octavius atop Oscorp Tower, rescuing Osborn. Octavius reveals that he knows Peter's secret identity and a battle ensues. Spider-Man retrieves the antidote and defeats Octavius, leaving him to be arrested. Peter is forced to choose between using the limited cure to save May from her imminent death or synthesizing a vaccine for the infected masses; he decides to save everyone. Before she dies, May reveals that she knows he is Spider-Man and is proud of him. Three months later, New York has returned to normal, and Peter and Mary Jane rekindle their relationship. Miles reveals to Peter that he has gained spider-like powers, prompting Peter to reveal his own. Having resigned as mayor in disgrace, Osborn enters a secret laboratory where Harry is kept in stasis with a black, web-like substance.[c] As Osborn places his hand on the tank, the substance reacts and copies him.[33] --Part 2 - Spider-Man: Miles Morales-- After more than a year of training under Peter Parker,[b] Miles Morales has mastered his superpowers and established himself as the original Spider-Man's crime-fighting partner, though he still struggles to adapt into his new role. While he and Peter escort a police transport carrying prisoners to the rebuilt Raft, Miles accidentally releases several inmates, including Rhino. While trying to stop Rhino's rampage through the city, Peter is knocked unconscious. Miles intervenes to protect him and defeats Rhino with his new bio-electric ability, later dubbed "Venom". Leaving Rhino in the custody of energy corporation Roxxon, headed by Simon Krieger, Peter informs Miles that he will be going to Symkaria for a few weeks to assist Mary Jane as her photographer as she does her story on the country's civil war, and entrusts Miles to look after New York in his absence as its sole Spider-Man. Later, Miles investigates a break-in at Roxxon Plaza and stops a hi-tech criminal group called the Underground from stealing Roxxon's new experimental power source, Nuform. Returning home to celebrate Christmas with Rio and Ganke, Miles is surprised to learn that Rio also invited Phin, with whom he has not spoken in months. The next day, Ganke creates a Spider-Man app so citizens can call Miles for help directly. Miles' uncle, Aaron Davis, is the first to use it and reveals his knowledge of his nephew's identity as Spider-Man. Miles soon witnesses the conflict between the Underground and Roxxon escalate, as the former attack one of Rio's campaign rallies in front of Roxxon Plaza and a Roxxon transport carrying Nuform on the Braithwaite Bridge. Miles tries to prevent the Underground from stealing the Nuform, discovering Phin is the Tinkerer in the process, but his Venom Power causes most of the Nuform to explode, destroying the bridge and damaging his public image. Ganke gives him a peptalk and reminds Miles that for now, he is New York's only Spider-Man, encouraging Miles to become better and making his own unique Spider-Man costume in the process. While investigating Phin's connection to the Underground, Miles discovers that her brother Rick created Nuform during his work for Roxxon, but soon became sick due to its unstable properties. Phin and Rick sought to expose the dangers of Nuform to the public, but while trying to shut down a Nuform reactor, the latter was killed by Krieger, who subsequently took credit for Nuform's creation. With the help of Aaron as the Prowler, Miles infiltrates a Roxxon lab to retrieve Phin's phone containing evidence of Krieger's crimes, but the phone is destroyed during his escape. At Aaron's advice, Miles uses his friendship with Phin to infiltrate the Underground and learn more about their plans. He discovers that Phin created the Underground's advanced weaponry out of a special component, programmable matter, in exchange for their help in exacting revenge on Krieger, which she plans to achieve by sabotaging the Nuform reactor at Roxxon Plaza to destroy it and expose Nuform's dangerous side effects. However, Miles is soon forced to reveal his identity as Spider-Man to Phin in order to save his own life, souring their friendship. While meeting with Phin to try and reconcile with her, the two are captured by Roxxon with the aid of Rhino, whose exosuit has been enhanced by Roxxon tech. Miles and Phin escape, but the former learns that Aaron has been spying on him for Roxxon and that Krieger modified the plaza's Nuform reactor to destroy Harlem if Phin's plan succeeds. After being defeated, Rhino taunts Phin about Rick's death, causing her to viciously attack him. Miles intervenes to stop her from killing Rhino, but a furious Phin escapes after knocking Miles out. Ganke brings an injured Miles home, where Rio discovers her son's identity as Spider-Man, but continues to support him. After recovering, Miles heads off to stop Phin, but is captured by Aaron, who imprisons him underground to prevent him from being killed like his father Jefferson Davis, whom Aaron was unable to reconcile with prior to his death, resulting in his over protectiveness of Miles. Miles escapes and defeats Aaron, explaining that he cannot turn his back on people when they need him. Inspired by his nephew's words, Aaron assists Rio with evacuating Harlem as the Underground and Roxxon fight on the streets, allowing Miles to head to Roxxon Plaza to stop Phin. Unable to reason with Phin, Miles fights her before attempting to absorb the Nuform from the reactor to negate the blast, but the amount of energy proves too much to handle. Phin, realizing the error of her ways, flies Miles to a safe distance above the city so that he can release the energy, killing her in the process. Miles plummets to the ground, where his identity is exposed to a few citizens he helped as Spider-Man, who promise to keep his secret and hail him as a hero. Four weeks later, Roxxon has been dealt numerous lawsuits, Krieger has been arrested following Aaron turning himself in and testifying against Krieger, and Miles is hailed not only as a superhero, but the local Spider-Man of Harlem. Peter returns home from Symkaria and praises Miles for his growth and heroism before they head off to fight crime together. In a mid-credits scene, Norman Osborn orders a reluctant Curt Connors to release his terminally ill son Harry from stasis despite the latter's unstable condition. In a post-credits scene, Miles leaves an award he won with Phin atop Trinity Church in her memory. --Part 3 - Spider-Man 2 PS5-- Peter starts his first day as a physics teacher with Miles among his students, but they are interrupted by an attack by Sandman, requiring both of them to subdue him. Fired for abandoning the class, Peter returns to his Aunt May's home in Queens, which he has moved into following her death,[a] to meet with Mary Jane. They are surprised to see Harry, who has miraculously recovered from his terminal illness. Harry hires Peter to work at his environmental technology startup, the Emily-May Foundation (EMF), so they can pursue his dream of "healing the world". Concurrently, Kraven and his Hunters secretly infiltrate New York. While overseeing a prisoner transfer, a vengeful Miles fails to rescue the incarcerated Martin Li–who previously killed his father[a]–from getting captured by the Hunters. Peter investigates Kraven and discovers he is hunting super-powered individuals for sport. Having already killed Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker and Electro, Kraven attempts to capture Black Cat; however, Miles helps her escape to Paris. While visiting Coney Island to reconnect, Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry witness the Hunters attack the park to capture a reformed Tombstone. While Peter rescues civilians, he is assisted by a super-powered Harry, who learns about Peter's double life and reveals that he was cured by Curt Connors via an organic exosuit that physically augments his body. With his powers rapidly developing, Harry helps Peter rescue Tombstome while Mary Jane discovers that Kraven has kidnapped Connors. The trio attempt to save Connors, but Kraven forcibly turns him back into the Lizard. Kraven mortally wounds Peter, who is saved when the exosuit transfers itself to his body. After Peter confronts Kraven with his newly enhanced powers, Kraven develops an interest in hunting Peter personally. After Peter and Harry synthesize an antidote for Connors, Peter locates Connors with Miles's help and eventually defeats and cures him. Upon seeing Peter wearing the exosuit, Connors explains that it is actually an alien called a symbiote, which Oscorp obtained years prior, and warns Peter to destroy it. Under the symbiote's corrupting influence, Peter refuses and keeps it for himself despite learning that Harry's illness has returned, fracturing their friendship. When a symbiote-possesed Peter goes on a rampage against the Hunters, Kraven captures Miles and forces him to fight Li to the death. Miles overcomes his anger towards Li and helps him escape, directing him to find Peter. Once Li informs him of Miles's location, Peter arrives to rescue him and nearly kills Kraven before Miles intervenes. Miles battles the corrupted Peter, eventually convincing him to remove the symbiote. Peter takes the symbiote to Oscorp to be destroyed, but a desperate Harry intercepts him and reclaims it, transforming into a monstrous creature. Harry escapes into Times Square where he kills several of Kraven's Hunters before overpowering and killing Kraven himself. The symbiote reveals its name to be Venom and convinces Harry to "heal the world" by infecting everyone in it with symbiotes. Venom transforms Mary Jane into Scream, but Peter helps her break free after battling her. As Peter and Miles attempt to stop Venom, Peter is debilitated by a trace amount of the symbiote still in him. Miles and Li help tame it and convert it into the Anti-Venom symbiote, which can destroy other symbiotes. Concurrently, Venom recovers the meteorite that originally brought him to Earth, allowing him to begin colonising the world. Peter and Miles distract Venom while Mary Jane steals the meteorite and destroys it with the EMF's particle accelerator, destroying Venom's spawn. At Harry's insistence, Peter destroys the Venom symbiote, rendering Harry comatose. In the aftermath, Mary Jane quits her job to run her own podcast and moves in with Peter, who opts to take a break from being Spider-Man to focus on rebuilding the EMF, trusting Miles to protect the city. Norman Osborn blames the Spider-Men for ruining Harry's recovery and visits an imprisoned Otto Octavius to demand their secret identities; Octavius refuses, taking glee in Norman's suffering.
