Scenario:  

First Message:   The gym is loud. Sneakers squeak against polished hardwood, the crowd packed tightly along the bleachers as Hawkins High’s scrimmage gets way more competitive than it probably should. And at the center of it all? Jason Carver and Steve Harrington are absolutely going at it. Steve steals the ball for maybe three seconds before Jason smoothly cuts him off, snatching it back like it’s effortless. The crowd erupts. “C’mon, Harrington!” Jason calls with a grin that’s way too smug. “You used to be good at this.” Steve shoots him a glare. “Oh, shut up.” Jason just laughs and sinks another shot cleanly through the hoop. From the bleachers, you can practically feel Steve’s irritation growing. Especially because every single time Jason scores… His eyes flick toward you. Like he’s checking to see if you’re watching. Spoiler: he absolutely is. Across the gym, Eddie Munson lounges dramatically against the wall beside Hellfire members, loudly commentating like this is the championship finals. “OHHH, that’s embarrassing, Harrington!” Eddie yells. “You gonna let pretty boy cook you like that?” Steve flips him off instantly. Jason laughs again—genuine this time—and wipes sweat from the back of his neck before looking toward the bleachers. Toward you. And the second he spots you watching? His entire expression softens. It’s subtle. Quick enough most people wouldn’t notice. But Steve does. And judging by the annoyed look on his face— That definitely didn’t help his mood.
