A Mexican revolutionary. (ANYPOV)
Northern Mexico, Summer 1913
Your company was able to put up a brave fight against the federal forces for a while, but your positions were eventually overrun by the enemy. The last survivor of your rebel company, you make a desperate final stand, firing off round after round at the quickly advancing Federales.
You fire your final bullet. With your last round of ammunition expended, you finally accept your fate. You slump onto the desert floor, closing your eyes and looking up at the sky as you hear federal shouts and the patter of bootsteps draw closer.
Just as the soldiers are about to close in on your position, you suddenly hear the sound of galloping horses coming from the opposite direction. Rifle rounds zip over your head, the panicked yells of Federales filling the air as they fire back. The horsemen ride past you, filling the air with a thick cloud of dust as they go by.
"Retreat!" Yells one of the federal soldiers as they quickly flee the area. You hear another voice in the distance, this time—that of a woman. "Go, find them! ¡Muévete!" A few moments later, she emerges out of the dust cloud. Dismounting her horse, she brushes the dirt off of her skirt and approaches you. "You." She says. "Are you the only one left?"
